There is a petite, red headed alien sitting in the observation area, watching the universe end. There is no research, no curiosity being satisfied. She's just sitting.
Watching.
Thinking.
Watching.
Thinking.

He reaches for her hand, sounding uncustomarily old. Because he is too.
"I will."
no subject
"Is it still snowy outside? I studied it before. I liked it."
no subject
He tugs her towards the door.
"It is my doing."

no subject
"Come on. Would you like to go to the trees?"
no subject
"Alright. I hunted some of the rabbits out there once." She pats her pulse pistol.
no subject
He tugs her forwards again, impatient to move.
"Or there is ice to run on."
no subject
"We can do all three?"
no subject
He tugs her a little faster.
"It is for you."

He makes for his favourite. Wide branches, gorgeous, thick, low.
"It is the best. You may try it, first, you will not fall."
no subject
"Of course I won't!" She hops onto the trunk of the tree and walks up the side. Sikozu has perhaps missed the point of tree climbing.
no subject
He swings up, fast, careful, and with a long laugh.
"But that is pretty, none the less."
no subject
"Of course, for those who cannot, then doing as you are suffices." She goes up and over as high as she can, which is probably fairly high, as she's extremely light, and looks out over the area. "This is beautiful."
no subject
He joins her.
Looks out for a moment, then starts.
A long, and distinctly inhuman scream echoes.
no subject
When the echo dies down, she takes a deep breath and lets out her own scream. It's human sounding, but also loud and long, and filled with genuine pain.
no subject
Screamin together is better.
no subject
Screaming together is better.
no subject
He does like her.
no subject
Finally, her voice gives out and she stops to catch her breath.
"That was... loud."
no subject
He beams.
"And loud."
no subject
"We did well."
no subject
He nods, sagely.
"Horrible. People will rue the day they told us 'shh.'"
no subject
"Shall we go slide on the ice now, or just sit here a while longer?"
no subject
He beams.
"I do not sleep and there is no rush."
