[Following this]
Merlin is sitting in a booth in the bar.
He looks better than he did yesterday, we can give him that. The bruises are beginning to fade to a sickly green, and the bandages on his arm have been changed recently. He also seems to have lost most of the sickly pallor and haunted look in his eyes.
All in all, he's looking much better. And he may have learned his lesson about going outside.

She bats her lashes in return and flirts a tail (one of nine) at him.
Also? She is glad there was no screaming and hiding. Its bad for the ego.

He's familiar with foxes, but he's never seen one quite like this.
He smiles softly, staring at her from behind a fall of hair.
Isn't he just the cutest little boy ever?

She would be surprised if he had seen someone like her, as she is a Japanese sort of chaos spirit.
Her smile is, to be simple, a beam. She could light up the room with it, if smiles were lightbulbs.

He offers a slight wave, and an almost whispered "Hi".

She returns cheerfully, and then she perches on the edge of his table. Her feet are also Fox feet instead of human feet. Bar's idea of fair warning, she supposes. Laini keeps ears and tail, most times.
"I am the Honorable Lady Ako. Pleased to meet you."
Its that smile. For the moment, however, she's keeping to the caucasian skin tones.

"A pleasure, Lady. Please, call me Merlin."

She reaches over to pat him on the hand, arm, or head depending on what is closest and least wounded,
"I suspected. You looked rather like a Merlin of one sort or another."

"There certainly seems to be enough of us here. You can call me Emrys, if it's too confusing."
Alot of people here aren't fond of the Merlin's from what he's gathered. And he wants to be as likable as possible. It's a character flaw.

"Whatever you prefer, really. I am rather extraordinarily flexible. It comes from not needing a fixed skeletal system, really."

"My friends back home all call me Merlin. I'd... like it if you would too."
He seems much younger than his fifteen years when he's blushing.
[ooc: no problem! I don't mind slowtime.]

She beams at him,
"Merlin it is. Everyone calls me Ako except my daughter. She generally sticks with MO-theeer."
She's got the teenage whine down pat, and backs it up by patting his face.

He cannot imagine what the offspring of this woman would be like. But the impersonation reminds him a bit of Rhia, and he grins softly.

It means "son of dragons". In some language of another. If asked, Ako would inform Emrys that her daughter is everything Ako isn't.
Which pretty much boils down to "A Mary Sue"
