This would be the second time he's been at the door to Milliways with a large, sharp object except this time the object in question is an axe and he's a great deal less focused.
Or rather, over focused.
Or rather, overloaded.
"Wood? Fire? Warm? Baby!"
...no, that's probably the most intelligent thing he's going to say till he meets his son. For the moment, however, he's staring around as if he'd just woken up, blinking and trying to process the bar that seems to have replaced the firewood pile and the chopping stump.
[ooc: for those who've read the Malloreon, I'm sure you can tell what this is: Geran is in the middle of being born. For those who haven't, here's the short story: Garion is completely and utterly gone right now. His brain is overloaded. Think of it as a bezerker gone backwards; he can only process the simplest of ideas or commands and everything is, for the moment, ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. Feel free to stop by and confuse him, mock him, or try and remind him that he should probably go home and check on his wife. For anyone who'd like to read how it happened in the books, click here for a laugh.]
[ooc: for about a half an hour, I must travel home. back for more crack soon] [...the guy at the store I went to was SPECIAL. I apologize for the delay but hey *grins* NEW CANON!]

He grabs Jason again, as if Jason doesn't understand just how SERIOUS this all is because she's having THE BABY.

"Yes, I know. She's having the baby. Do you need to get back to your world so you can help her?"
Well in Jason's world, it's the man's job to get the bones in his hand broken and not pass out.

"No! She needs WOOD. For the fire! Ce'Nedra wants a nice big warm fire! For the Baby! Did I tell you we're having the baby, Jason? The baby! The baby's coming!"
no subject
"Yes, and that's GREAT! I'm so happy for you two. You need wood? There's a forest full of it outside."
He's chuckling as he gently tries to turn Garion towards the back door.
"You need a hand? I can help carry."

And thus, logically, he picks up Jason and hauls him under one arm and heads outside towards the trees.

"Gar, I can keep up, I promise!" he says between fits of laughter. Although at the moment, he's laughing much too hard to run anywhere.
"Hey look, trees! You can put me down now. Go...chop something down."

Damn, Garion was gone. Jason swears at this instant that if he ever has kids, he won't be so deliriously gone.
Which of course, he will. But he can pretend now.
"You need any help?" He stands off to the side, looking fairly useless, but amused as Garion goes for the trees.

"Chop. Wood. For fire."

But after watching Garion chop furiously, he thinks he's got the general idea and starts swinging the axe at a bit of the tree that Garion already has seemed to have felled.
Wow, Gar's good.
However, it's not a task he's used to, and after a short while he's already frowning with the effort.
"So how much wood do we need?"
