Oh, Logan

He's in the bar, looking far too pleased with himself. He ought to be wearing a button reading: "I'm a genius! Ask me how!" but alas, he is not.

One reason is the upcoming date with Hannah. A masterstroke of manipulation, dating the daughter of the fake witness against him. Plus, she is supercute.

The other? Logan has a hip flask. Full of whiskey. And he shares. Usually.

"But unless that was a really short heart attack, I think you're still alive."

"Right, right," Logan says, waving his hand. "But no one will know for certain until I've gone and returned, right? I'll keep you posted, though."

"Just... make sure you go back where you meant to."

"And I won't close the door until I know where I am," he says, raising one hand in an oath.

"It's probably a good idea," he says in seriously. "Going into random worlds isn't a lot of fun."

"I wouldn't think so," Logan says wryly. "I'll skip it, if I can."

"Well, I won't be... trying to leave again for a while..."

"Can't blame you there," Logan says quietly. "I wouldn't."

"... and I don't think people will believe the 'got yellow eyes by being around wolves' thing, so... I'll have to come up with an excuse for that first..."

He'll be taking his time on that.
