Doyle's lounging on a couch by the fire. His eyes are closed, though he's not really sleeping. He's fully aware of what is around him. And while his eyes are closed, he wouldn't mind an interruption.

"Hey. Long time no see." she said with a smirk.
no subject
"Very. How have you been?"
no subject
"Pretty good. Just trying to relax. It seems you were too."
no subject
"It's fairly easy to relax around here when it's quiet. So where have you been?"
no subject
"I have been taking care of others on earth. What have you been doing?"
She put the fork in her mouth. The pie was perfect.
no subject
"I have been meeting a few new people, practicing with my sword, and just resting and watching. Is it fun taking care of others on earth?"
no subject
no subject
"I missed you too. Less politics to deal with here for me, which makes it easier to meet people."
no subject
"Politics suck. Too much fighting. Even in the Human United nations they like to trash talk everyone. But enough about that. We are here in order to have fun without talking about buisness." She said while smiling at him. "So hows that sword swinging of yours!"
[mun: no innuendo intended of course...well maybe...]
no subject
"Well practiced as usual, though a little rusty from lack of use. I usually have more things in my day that practice usually gets sacrificed for better things."
[mun: you always love your innuendos! don't deny it.]

She'd be polite and come over to actually poke him, but she's not sure on his take of children, and Nate's still a toddler right now...
no subject
As for children, he hasn't seen one in almost thirty years. The court is still having problems conceiving them, and he doesn't spend enough time around humans. And, hasn't been around any here in bar. So, he's not sure what his take on them is either.
no subject
Yes, there was a hint of mischief in her tone.

And on that note she slipped from the rafters where she'd been perched, a toddler on her hip that seems to have a small army of animal crackers orbiting at his beck and call. ::I'll try not to break the mood?::
no subject
He opens his eyes lazily, though not unwelcoming to a guest. And he's eyeing the orbiting animal crackers more than the toddler himself. ::I doubt you could ever break the mood unless you actually tried. How does he do that?::
no subject
Her grin is wry, even if he can't see it. ::He's my little brother:: she offered, as if that should explain things. ::He's not suppose to be toddler, but we're coping::
no subject
He gives her a slightly odd look. ::He's not supposed to be a toddler? What happened?::
no subject
She shrugged, an actyal laugh falling from her lips as she passed Doyle an Animal cracker and poked her youngest brother "I'm not sure. He opened the door, and suddenly...seasoned warrior and gruff, tough old bastard is once more the baby brother I knew..."
no subject
He takes and studies the animal cracker a moment, because he's never seen one before. Though the mun has made zoos of them before.
babysitting eek!::That is odd. What is his name?::no subject
::Nathan Christopher:: she offered proudly, the young boy clapping happily and adding ::Nate!::
::It's been...a long time since I was near children:: she admitted.
no subject
He gives a small bow to the boy, as much as he can while sitting. The movement sliding his loose ankle length hair in range of Nate. He hadn't braided it today. ::Nice to meet you Nate.::
He gives a slightly sympathetic smile. ::It's most likely been even longer for me.::
no subject
::Nice!:: Nate agreed, grinningand waving his hands a Doyle in a childish manner ::Rachelsisterfriend?::
Rachel just chuckled and then her eyes widened in worry. Nathan hadn't noticed the hair yet, in the wonder of meeting someone new, but he would...so surrepticiously flames began to lick along the length, braiding it carefully away from the toddler fists. It's gentle, and almost apologetic, but she happens to like playing with people hair, not extractingit from baby mouths.
no subject
He blinks at the now braided hair a minute. It's been long enough that he had forgotten that babies like to grab on and sometimes eat hair. He gives Rachel a smile. ::Thanks.:: And then theres a smiles at Nate. ::Yes. I'm Rachel's friend.::
no subject
::Me too!:: Nate sang happily ::She tells stories!::
Rachel can't help but simply chuckle and flip the end of Doyle's braid almost teasingly across his nose before letting it be ::Welcome, I'd hate to see you needing to cut it::
