Slayer inna bar, with coffee and food.
Headphones are in evidence, but no books, this time, Antarian or otherwise.
Conversation welcome.

Not terribly obvious to someone who's not Faith, that is.

Usually not by people she's never met before, but hey, maybe he's a vampire?
It's mostly reflex that makes her pull the cross necklace she's wearing out from under her shirt, a reassuring safeguard that all Slayers carry, a safeguard Faith has more reason than most to believe in.

After a moment he realizes what he's doing and looks back at his papers. It's not really any use, though. Concentration's shot.
"Evening," he says finally, nodding to her.

The music which blares from them, should it matter, is classical tonight.
Possibly entitled 'Air on a G String,' but classical nonetheless.
"Evening."

"Oh," is all he can think to say. "Well. Angel, actually. But I didn't realize that--" He frowns and leans forward unconsciously.
"It's just that I thought there was a demon nearby, but you don't -- you don't seem familiar."

Just another night for Sara.

"Hey."

Faith pulls out the headphones. "How's it going?"

And then:
Twenty-five years and my life is still
Trying to get up that great big hill of hope
For a destination
And I realized quickly when I knew I should
That the world was made up of this brotherhood of man
For whatever that means
And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high
And I scream at the top of my lungs
What's going on?
And I say, hey hey hey hey
I said hey, what's going on?
ooh, ooh ooh
and I try, oh my god do I try
I try all the time, in this institution
And I pray, oh my god do I pray
I pray every single day
For a revolution
And so I cry sometimes
When I'm lying in bed
Just to get it all out
What's in my head
And I am feeling a little peculiar
And so I wake in the morning
And I step outside
And I take a deep breath and I get real high

Facepalm. Profanity.
"That's how it's going."

They seem to have slid off her head of their own volition, and are around her neck.

Faith blinks down at them, and then starts to smile faintly and look around for the culprit.
The list of suspects is short, and all the names are people she's always glad to see.

-- or maybe he's behind her chair.
Max pokes his head up and rests it on her shoulder.
"Hi."
no subject
Faith beams.
"Hey, you."
no subject
Max looks momentarily shifty.
"And Trillian had to take medicine for the migraine he was giving her. It's lecture day. I sure hope your handy personal demon doesn't do the same thing."
