In one of the more shadowed corners of the bar something stirs, tawny-gold fur catching the light.

It is a Lion, head coming up off his forepaws, solemn golden eyes watching the patrons as they pass by.

Aslan has been here for quite some time.

She grins against him and answers with, "I'm good at it, I think," lightly flicking the fail back.

[treading_dawn]

His tail twitches, and rumbling laughter fills the room.

"It is good to see you happy, child. Very good, indeed."

[called_lioness]

"Sometimes it's harder than others, but it's very good right now to be so."

She is content.

"Caspian's well, and Susan's well, and Peter's well, and Ed's--well, he's quiet, but still, it's hard not to be."

[treading_dawn]

"So it has been, for him."

Aslan's voice is low, a faint growl--echo of something long ago--curling underneath.

"Though this, too, shall pass. I am pleased, however, to hear that the others fare well."

[called_lioness]

"I think so."

As for Lucy, anything that isn't well she's not about to bring up, she doesn't think, and most things are.

"It's hard, a little, to talk to him any more. Or Peter, really."
