Enters now | A goddess dread
She who was | Counted not amongst
Those who knew | The fate to come
Enters now | Hel
She of those here | Knows the laws
The rules | The customs
The ways to seek | Marriage
For those | Of Norse blood

Archie glances up at her entrance. Difficult to miss, is Hel. He smiles and goes over to her.
"Hel! It is good to see you. How have you been faring?"
He has no idea.
no subject
Her voice is wry, and she does not look down at her wrist. A bracelet of flowers, metal ones, rests around it.
"I have most certainly been. And you?"
no subject
"I am well. Was cursed for a bit, but that's done with. Glad to see you."
She may not look at the flowers around her wrist, but he may notice them when he reaches to take her hand in his tiny one. He wishes he could make amends for the ills others have done her. He doesn't mention them.
"Svava and I have taken in a child that found her way here."
no subject
If a little weirded out. Everyone has children these days.
She lets him take the hand, she does still wear her glove after all,
"It has been a while."
no subject
"Too long. I miss your company."
It is true, for all the strangeness between them, and the occasional hitting, he likes her.
no subject
"I am glad that you think of me."
She is, too. Its weird. He's a tiny little thing, but occasionally amusing.
no subject
As he is well aware.
"How could I not?"
He grins up at her.
"Will you be here for our wedding?"
no subject
She looks mildly bewildered for a moment, then peers down at him.
He doesn't look like he's been questing.
no subject
He blinks up at her, a bit confused.
"Sword?"
Hedn't she said something about that once before? Long ago?
no subject
She says it firmly, with a faint frown,
"Or it isn't right. Its...you have to. Especially you, and her."
no subject
"Especially for us? What do you mean?"
The frown stays, he doesn't understand.
"We've already been married once. Shouldn't that count for something?"
no subject
She frowns at him, mildly,
"It does. It...doing that. Getting the sword, every time, its part of what lets you find each other every time after. Or you'd lose you, in the end."
no subject
He gapes at her for a moment. He certainly doesn't want to loose himself, and he doesn't want to loose her.
"But... but how could I do such a thing? I cannot leave here. There is no door for me."
His voice is soft, and maybe the slightst touch afraid.
no subject
Irony. Loki's daughter sending a Hero to find the way to win a Valkyrie.
"That may be the beginning of your quest. Where there are dreams, there are ways."
no subject
Dreams
He glances out the back door, then back to Hel's face.
"And I am supposed to find a sword. Just like that? Any sword?"
Where there are dreams, there are nightmares.
no subject
She says, and sets a hand on his head in brief blessing,
"You need to find your sword."
no subject
He is grateful for that small touch. It calms him somewhat.
"My sword."
A soft sigh.
"Helgi's sword? At least it isn't something difficult."
no subject
And she turns him to give him a gentle, but firm, push toward the door.
At least she didn't hit him?
no subject
He turns, scanning the bar for a familliar blonde head before turning back to Hel.
"Will you tell her?"
He pushes down the panic rising in the back of his throat. No time to get overwhelmed now. It will be fine. Just don't think of the stories Svava told about the quest to find the Landlord.
"Thank you, Hel."
no subject
She nods, and turns to look for Svava.
no subject
And Archie turns and steps out the door (http://prone-to-panic.livejournal.com/8237.html).
