(no subject)

Draco was dressed not in his robes. The balm he created with his cauldron and supplies took care of the remaining burns nicely, with little scarring, if any.

He was dressed in dark green tunic, and trousers. Sleek, ideal for swift movement. He was outside, practicing moves with his dagger again. He was becoming increasingly efficient, and deadly in the grace he employed as he turned, and spun. His slight form being an advantage in this case.

"You almost did. You almost made it so that every person in the bar would have been murdered. Like that...like that nothing can stop me. Nothing can touch me. But even if you don't think it would've been your fault, at the end of it, the blood would've been on my hands. Not yours. Not hers. Mine."

He pushed a hand through white hair. "Do you think I could have lived with that? Do you think I could go back and kill everyone I care about, kill my city, my world--and live with that? The second I ever had control again..."

He shook his head. "So even even if you wouldn't have been responsible for all those deaths...you would have been responsible for mine."

A bitter expression stole over his face. "Of course, that doesn't matter to you, does it. I'm not human. I'm just some inhuman freak in your eyes, aren't I. Worse than a muggle."

He shook his head again and rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Obviously you're not sorry at all, and since all that happened because I ran into help you, apparently I put myself through all that for nothing. At least I know for sure now."

"I didn't do it because I'm a hero," Danny said. "I did it because I thought I was your friend."

Because that's what it came down to. He didn't care if Draco was a little snot, or evil, or whatever. So long as it wasn't in Amity Park, and no one was getting hurt right in front of him, it wasn't his concern.

"You helped me back home, fighting that troll-ghost, and so I helped you. And I can forgive friends if they do something horrible to me, but you just try to find excuses for what you did, instead of saying you're sorry. And meaning it."

A long pause, as he considered very carefully the sincerity of the wizard's words.

Then he turned human again and scratched the back of his head.

"So. Bygones?"

Danny couldn't help but grin.

"Partly."

He floated up an sat on a rock.

"Some ground rules though. One, I leave your evil parents alone if you leave the fact that I'm a complete freak alone."

"I meant I leave them alone in conversation," said Danny. "That I'm avoiding them like the plague is a given. Anyone snottier than you I'd have to kick around."

But it was said teasingly, like he might say something to Tucker.
