Today Archie is not on duty. Today he is sprawled happily on one of the couches with his tea and a book. He looks mighty comfy. He looks like he might enjoy some company.
((OOM: And the mun is off to work. Will tag from there. Slowtimes are Love.))

"Good book?"
Oh, dear. It has been a while since Archie and Alanna saw each other, hasn't it? In this universe, at least.
no subject
She looks funny up-side down.
"Hello. Oh..."
A funny look crosses his face and he closes the book, sitting up straighter.
"Hello m'lady. Er... it doesn't compare with fair company in the flesh, I assure you."

He chuckles softly, pulling her into a little half-hug.
"I've missed you too, dearest."
Well he has. For reference, he's also wearing jeans and a soft cream button-down shirt. And the sword.
"You look much better than you did last I saw you."
no subject
She blinks at the sword.
"Do I? I feel better." A pause. "Have you always had that sword?"
no subject
"Yes you do."
His hand wanders to the hilt of the blade. It is heavier than his old Navy sabre, ancient and beautiful in a violent sort of way with a smoke dark blade, and gold and red serpenst twining on the hilt.
"I had to go fetch it from the Dreaming so that Svava and I could be wed properly."
His voice is soft, it wasn't as easy as all that.
no subject
Alanna tears her gaze away from the blade, eyes searching his face.
"Oh, Archie. Somehow I don't think it was nearly as simple as you make it seem. Not for a sword like this. What happened?"

Archie grins in welcome, offering his hand to the boy.
"Afternoon lads, how've things been?"

Archie snorts softly.
"Honestly, I'm getting a bit anxious for the wedding. I don't want anything to happen to delay it between now and the time we do get wed."

He sighs softly.
"It was supposed to have been the twenty forst of last month, but I was rather gone for that. The problem now is rescheduling."
And the mun's respective work schedules.

Archie blinks over at her.
"You're not what?"
no subject
*She smirks contentedly. She's worked it out in her head and she is not going to get run over this time*
no subject
"Yes you are."
No debating.
no subject
You don't know him.
no subject
Archie eyes her calmly, sipping his tea.
"No, but I know you"

"Miss Delia, how have you been?"
He glances down at the page he's on.
"I've read it before, so it's not nearly as interesting as someone so charming as yourself."
no subject
I'm alright. Yourself?
no subject
"Getting better."
The bindings on the wounds he got from the Quest are minimal now, mostly to keep the balms from rubbing off. He'll still have some nice new scars though.
"I'm a bit anxious for the wedding, truly."

He laughs a little.
"It's rather out of my hands. I'm afraid. I'm just waiting for Svava to send Jason to find me one day, my uniform in hand, to tell me that I'd better get ready or I'll be late."
