So a guy walks into a bar after a bunch of months of being gone. It's not a very good punchline, but Kon certainly feels like the punchline - he'd been totally given up the idea of ever getting back here again, and what does it do? Shows up when he's on his way to a pretty important place.
-- okay, fine, he'd only been on the way to the Tower and that could wait for an hour or two, but nevertheless, the point still stands.
But hey. He's not going to complain about it much. He did miss this place. But lookie here - time for punchline number two. After a moment of blinking at the change of surroundings, he walks in - and a note materializes up on the bar itself.
"Huh?" He grabs for it, and reads it, a very odd look crossing his face. Does 'wtf' classify properly here? Because that definately comes to mind right about now.

"You haven't been here for aaaages! What's happened?" A beat, and she pulls back, anxiously. "Billy told me some of the stuff that's been happening - when are you here from?"
Lucky she doesn't know everything yet.

"Either you've heard something, and I should worry, or whoever you're talking about is just a worrywort."
But who could blame 'im?

Also, Captain Marvel. But she's not saying that!

"Uh," he says, "You're dating him?"
Yeah, he knows who Billy is. He just doesn't know if she does!

He's not getting any clues from this end. She can't tell if he knows or not, and until she's figured that out, she ain't sayin'.
Oh, conversational dancing, aren't you fun.
She beams, widely. "He's seriously cool. You gotta meet him."

Jor-El siuts with his eyes closed, just breathing, the visor is on the table right now, but the headphones are still on, reducing the noise level to one he can stand. He breathes and listens, and concentrates.

Anyway, he's gotten a hell of a lot better at seeing things. So while he'd probably have glanced right over this guy awhile back, he focuses pretty quickly on him now.
"What the fuck," Kon expresses out loud now, because he's not dumb, and he can pretty easily connect this guy to the note. It doesn't even take a moment to decide what to do - he walks over.
"Uh," he says when he gets over there, somehow for a lack of anything else. It's the most profound greeting in the world, really.

"Hello? May I be of assistance?"

"You are Kon?"

It's possible that right now is not the time to be a smartass, but whoever knew Kon to have a good sense of timing?

"I give welcome to you, Kon-El. Frokm what has been told to me, you have done the House of El proud."
His yees are warm.

But it seemed that he wasn't alone. There Kon was, standing with a note in hand and looking confused. Huh.
"What's on your mind?"

Still though, his appearance earns a bright grin from Kon.
"Hey, man," he says, then holds the note out to him. "Wierdness, that's what."

"Jor-El? Isn't that your grandfather?" Tim, as a bat, could read a bit of Kryptonian, of course.
