He makes a couple of quick additions to the Specials Board and then announces:

"Tonight's drinks are; Gentleman's Club , Gila Monster, Gingerbread Man #2 and Godchild .."

"What'll it be?"

Steph is not smirking at Kon. Nope. Not even a little.

Bar serves her anything she wants. Benefit of being dead.

She grins at George, slipping into the seat beside Kon. "Can I try a Gentleman's Club? I always wanted to see the inside of one of them, I guess drink form's something, at least."

"As my lady commands." He smiles. "One Gentleman's club, coming right up."

He glances at the girl as he starts preparing her drink.

He's never seen her before.

She's teasing Kon. So he likes her already.

Kon aims a kick for her ankle.

As if he could land it, anyway.

Not a chance, mini-Supes. Steph grins at Kon. "Be nice and I'll let you have a sip. - Thanks, Barman ... um, I haven't met you yet. I'm Steph!"

"Pleasure to meet you, Steph." He extends a hand to her.

"I'm George Cooper. And I see you already know ..this charming fellow." he continues, motioning to Kon.

"Oh gee golly wiz," Kon says, sarcastic evident in his voice. "A sip."

Look at his excitement! Really!

"Awesome to meet you, George." She shakes hands, and grins. "I do, that. Unfortunately. You too, huh?"

Kon gets blithely ignored. Apart from the smirk.

"Yes. I've known Kon for some time now."

He smiles at Kon. Nicely. No teasing at all.

".. Are you from earth as well?"

"Yeah, she totally is," Kon says, answering for her. "Born and bred and raised in Gotham."

Oy. Steph sticks out her tongue at him. And nods, to confirm that. "Died there, too."

It's usually easier to get that out of the way at the start of conversations, she's found.

He frowns.

Such a shame. She looks quite young.

[Then again, appearances in this place are often deceiving..]

And Kon really doesn't have anything to say here.

It's never going to stop being awkward, really. Damn.

mun is not flailing over foreboding. mun is not. AUGH.

It's usually not quite so much of a conversation-stopper. Steph eyes them both. "'S okay. I mean, I'm pretty much used to it by now. And it means I get to live here. This place is great, isn't it?"

"Aye."

Better than the afterlives offered by most religions that he's heard of, certainly.

"I'll drink to that.. well, I will after my shift ends.." he amends.

Kon gives her a sideways look, but doesn't say anything. He's not sure if he believes her about being used to it.

"It is a great place, man. Full of good people."

"You can't drink on duty?" Steph looks curious.

And AVOIDS KON'S EYEING LIKE THE PLAGUE. Sometimes he's smarter than he looks.

He shrugs. "Truthfully, I can't recall if that's in the rules.. mayhap I'm allowed and mayhap not. I suspect the latter. But really, it wouldn't be responsible of me. And besides, I like to have all my wits about me when I tend bar.."

His eyes glint - just for a moment.
