Somewhere there is an Archie, and he is blissfully unaware that his fiancee is currently helping to diffuse a rather large bomb. So, if anyone would care to inform him, or just keep him company, that is, of course, more than welcome.
no subject
"Well enough, I suppose. Anxious for this damned wedding to happen."
He'd have prefered for it to have happened quickly, and without much fuss.
no subject
"Things going slowly?"
no subject
He slumps wearily back in his chair.
"Ugh.. It's interminable. I can't see why we need all this bloody fuss. I got the sword, let's have it."
And Svava would probebly thwap him for implying that they shouldn't make the day as special as it ought to be. He just wants it done.

"Women and weddings often manage to involve massive compications. Thus does life with a person who thinks more about these things than we do begin."
He grins.
"I am sure you will survive and get through it just fine."
no subject
He smiles a bit ruefully.
"Aye, well it helps a bit that I'm quite besotted with her, even after so long."
no subject
"You'll do fine. Where are you headed after?"
no subject
He snorts softly.
"Haven't the foggiest. Though that does seem to be the most popular inquiry lately."
no subject
"Well, people always want to think that couples will be off to some exotic locale."
He munches then grins.
"Do you like Islands?"
no subject
Another soft chuckle.
"I was a Viking in one life, a sailor in the next, and she's hardly less close to the sea. I think that we were both hoping to find somewhere close to it."
no subject
"I have an Island. It is populated, but by poeple who know how toi mind their own business. You can get all the comforts of civilization and a nice get away where no one except your host knows you."
He grins.
"And... I have a stable door."
no subject
A slow grin spreads across his face.
"You're offering us your island?"
It is a sort of generosity he's no really used to.
no subject
He grins.
"And if you really miss the water that much, there are boats there..."
Archie is the brother of his sister.
no subject
Archie smiles dreamily.
"A boat would be nice..."
To have the sea rocking him to sleep once again, and her in his arms. It is his idea of heaven.
"Though we can't stay terribly long. A few days away is my limit, I think. I've never really tested the theory."
no subject
Grand words perhaps, but heartfelt.
no subject
Archie simply gapes at him for a moment, stunned to say the least.
"I... I could have done no less. I only wished that there was more I could have done. I am.. honored, Nathan, but do not speak of debt for actions taken out of love. You have my word, and my sword as well, gladly, if ever you need it."
Now if only there was some mead or somesuch to seal things properly.
no subject
He grins.
"Will you join me in a toast?"
He waves at a wait rat.
no subject
He blusters a bit at the compliment, but he is pleased really, and glad for the small distraction the wait-rat brings.
"It would be my pleasure, sir."
no subject
He grins lightheartedly.
"Two ales, Proumuran Design, 3021."
He nods to Archie as the wait rat rushes off and back with the alkes. He hands one over and raises his glass.
"To family, and to the future."
no subject
"It is merely a form of respect. And rather a habit, I fear."
A small smile as he accepts his glass.
"I will certainly drink to that, my friend. To the futures and well-being of our families."
no subject
He clinks his mug with Archie's and drinks. Then he grins.
"Tell me more about your time here?"
