((OOM: Things improve.))
There is a rather stunned looking man standing in the doorway of Milliways. He hasn't seen the place for almost a year and a half and it's ... exactly as he remembered it to be, even if he spent quite a bit of time insisting to himself that it could have been some elaborate hallucination.
At any rate, more about him. His hair is trimmed, though somewhat touseled, and he appears to be wearing a khaki uniform and heavy overcoat of the same colour. The sleeves are rolled up and he is dirty.
Dusty is perhaps a more accurate term. The thick goggles are a hint at what he's just come from - his motor bike is parked just outside in the background.
He is blinking. "Well, this certainly isn't the motor shop."
It's hard to tell if he's really bothered by this. The grin on his face suggests that it is in fact a smaller blessing than a curse.

"Looked more like you wrestled with it," he snidely said, and turned a page.
"Don't think I caught your name last time."

He settles the goggles around his neck - the dust makes a ring around his eyes. Attractive, really.
And a pause. "Thomas Edward Lawrence. Lawrence is preferred." If Draco's reading about the early 20th century and the First World War, he's probably read about him. Maybe.

Draco then blinked, and glanced down at the book since that was what he was reading in fact.
"You? They're talking about you in this then?" He held up the article to point out about his contributions to the Arab Revolt.

"Yes, I would suppose so." Lawrence is the tiniest bit proud of this. Well, that's a gross underexaggeration, but he tries quite hard not to look smug about it and mostly succeeds.
He's much more happy about it now that he's gotten things settled in Iraq.

"Very impressive, for well, considering you didn't have magic. Good strategy," he commented truthfully.
He then said, "Hadn't said before I think, name's Draco Malfoy, a pleasure." He offered his hand.

He nods his head and smiles faintly. "Well, thank you." He wonders if it mentions Deraa - probably not, and all for the better.
Lawrence shook Draco's hand firmly as a diplomat might. "Pleased to meet you, Young Mister Malfoy."

Draco nodded and lowered his hand again, "Got this from the library. Glanced over some of it, but mostly from the current century. Your strategies with manipulating the Ottoman forces was especially interesting."

"Allenby did have some part in it, however." Lawrence liked to give credit where credit was due. There's a pause.
"Anything interesting about Winnie? I've a feeling that chap will become very important." Sir Winston Churchill, of course.

"Winnie?" Draco wondered, as he flipped through the pages.

But a good sort of odd.

"He's quite an interesting man, from what I've seen. It doesn't surprise me that he'll be important. But don't tell me so much detail, or it might compromise things."

Says the man who is now lighting a cigarette to smoke.

"The Dwarf said the very same thing. Quite a talented smithy, too."

"We still walk and get around when we have to." Also he's taking full advantage of the fact that as being a no longer underage wizard, he can do magic as often as he likes. And this place wasn't subject to Ministry laws about keeping it out of sight of the muggles, even better.

Like swordfighting.

"Like what?"
no subject
He notices - but because someone carries a dagger does not mean that they can use it.
"Proper swordfighting, shooting. I would hesitate to say cooking, for the witches."
no subject
"No shooting. We have magic. Though branched out into fighting with a blade. Just in case, been some problems with magic at times."
He patted the dagger with the Egyptian scarab hilt to it, "One of my current tutors gave me this, along with the advice not to rely solely on magic. Been seeing his point somewhat."
