There is one Lyle Norg, in the bar, at a table. He wandered down from the upstairs a few minutes ago, in hopes of finding something interesting - but it's hard to find something interesting when you're feeling restless.
There are so many things he could find to be entertained by, but in the end, apparently he's settled for his own devices - staring intently as his own hand as he turns it invisible and then back again. Invisible... back again.... invisible.... you get the picture.
Might you come and entertain him? He's not doing such a good job by himself.

Lyle is completely visible now once more, and giving her an odd look to go along with it. "Do you usually go around poking strangers?"

"It's not due to any of those reasons, actually."

Well. Probably not. But it was certainly interesting to claim.

"Aha. And next you will be telling me your name is Bond, James Bond."

Still, it is interesting, and so she watches intently, attempting to discern if it's an organic or inorganic process.

"Hello there," he calls.

She is exempt from the entertained category because being entertained and interested are different things, yes they are.
no subject
Were the two mutually exclusive?
no subject
She grins. 'Of course, that isn't necessarily true for everyone.'
Trying to get pencils stuck in the ceiling tiles can be very entertaining, after all!
no subject
That's... not quite true, really. Going invisible is like stretching a muscle, for him; it's like visiting an old friend. It would never really disappear from his capabilities.
But he never said it was true, did he? Just that it might be.

"That anything like an on/off switch?"

"Handy, that. Any part means you can go all see-through, right?"
Otherwise that'd be a shitty limitation to have.

And on a few other wavelengths, as well. It was truly handy.

"You need a new pillow," he tells Lyle by way of greeting.
no subject
He can guess, really. Brainy attempted some experiment, and for some reason a pillow was utterly essential: and obviously his own couldn't be used. Either that, or one misfired, and the pillow was an unfortunate casualty.
He's severely tempted to steal Brainy's for his own, and leave him pillowless.
no subject
"Our communicators can't be modified to work from here," Brainy replies. It's not exactly an explanation, and it isn't an answer to Lyle's question, but it's what he was working on and Lyle should know.
The pillow was an innocent bystander, really.

That, after all, quite often beat the laws of science. But of course, neither of them could actually harness it.
no subject
"Have you found a magic-user yet?" he asks. It had never been specifically stated that Lyle would be the one searching one down, but he's the people person, so it would be the logical choice.
no subject
He'll find one soon enough.
