Despite recent events, time does continue to pass and the Wheel to weave. Moiraine still fully intends to see to Ace's well-being and to the matter of the White Rider both-- but there are other matters that require her attention, as well.
All things are part of the Pattern, and it is the Pattern itself that will be examined tonight-- by another, on her behalf, and not without great risk inherent in the process.
As a result, when the Aes Sedai glides into the bar, she is seeking any of several people.

"How are matters with you?" Moiraine gestures to a seat.

He says in return, settling into the seat,
"I am yours to command."
no subject
She tilts her head as she watches him.
"I am not unaware of the risk."

He turns serious. "And I've just agreed to help one Ray Stantz in his battle against some of his world's secret masters. But that's not likely to start until he's finished recovering from what they did to him, so if you happen to have anything brewing that needs my special touch... I'm always available." He performs a rather fancy bow.

It is, perhaps, only her luck that the very moment she's sat down with coffee is the moment that the woman from the other night appears.
Antigone's shoulders tense.
Serpentine taught her a long time ago that hiding only makes you more noticeable; so she stays where she is and hopes that Moiraine will pass her by.

As soon as Moiraine notices the girl, her eyes narrow and she glides towards her.
"I do not believe that I learned your name, before."
The expectation is clear.
no subject
"I didn't learn yours."

He's at the bar with a cup of coffee, smiling.
Every day give yourself a present; this is a fine present.

She studies him for a moment, then glides toward his table.
"Good evening."

"Hmm? Oh good evening, madam," He got up to offer her a chair, "Would you like to sit?"

The blue one didn't try to find him!
He forgives her, anyway, mind you, but still.
Stern look, as he settles at her feet.

Moiraine stares in rather a great deal of visible surprise.
"Milton?"
no subject
He also has the strange urge to ribbit at her, but he is surpressing it.
There had better not be another tiny peacock around, though, that is conveyed very clearly. He would be upset if he'd been replaced.

Actually, she looks a bit spooked.
Rather a lot spooked. In a 'I'm trying for calmness here but damn if it isn't taking a lot' sort of way.
"Moiraine?"
no subject
As she spots the other woman, her expression changes instantly.
"What has happened?" She scans the bar, looking for signs of threat.
