Nodding he says, mock seriously, "You wooed the poor boy away from his lover." He tsks softly.

It's a bad, bad habit of mine. Now, who?

"Lawrence," Parker says.

Is that a boy's name or a girl's?

Parker smirks, "If you had to guess. You'd guess it was a..."

[promptly]

Boy.

"How'd you guess?" Parker laughs. "Yeah. Lawrence is the blond, English guy? Flirts with a lot of guys."

The way you look at Thom. And I don't know him.

Parker blinks. Takes that one in. Shrugs and says, "Well, Thom's hard not to look at." But it's not quite what he means. "I didn't know it was that obvious."

Well. Maybe I'm just suspicious.

"Not a bad quality in a woman," Parker says.

Sadly, it's a quality that comes from experience.

"Most of the men in your life want Thom?"

Exactly.

"Well, you can count me off your list."

Oh?

Parker smiles and raises an eyebrow. Waits for her to catch his meaning.

Now, there are two meanings. Which do you mean?

"Lawrence is the type of guy that makes you forget other guys in bed."

He grins innocently.

Aaaaaah.

Well, as long as he doesn't fuck you up, I'm sure you are a big boy who can handle himself.

For half a second something flashes in his eyes, like maybe it's been a while since anyone cared about that for him.

"Thanks, Li."

[a soft smile]

Parker nods, and sits in silence for a bit.

Eventually, says, "I don't think anyone cleans the ceiling."

Why would they?

A shrug. "Seems like a pretty clean place all around."
