Aubrey's being lazy over on a couch by the fire. Or, he may just be waiting for someone. But, as he's leaving for a bit soon why not come over at talk to him now. He's currently slouched on the couch, feet propped up on the coffee table in front of him.

Parker stops nearby and squints, "Are you Aubrey?"

There's a faint tilt to Aubrey's head now as he assesses the stranger.

"In the undead flesh. Problem or something?"

Because usually when people are looking for him, it's because of something he's done.

"No problem," Parker smiles, looks friendly. Says, "Look, this isn't a threat. It's a fact. Mal can take care of herself. But, if you hurt her, I will find a way to fuck you undead ass up."

He shrugs. "No hard feelings."

Aubrey gives a lazy grin. "You sound so very sure of yourself on accomplishing that fact. What's she to you?"

"A friend. A very close friend who thinks that she's had enough assholes to deal with for now."

"That's so sweet. Really."

Yes, in fact that is sarcasum. Why do you ask?

Parker shrugs again, "Whatever, your choice."

Offering out a hand, "Hi, I'm Parker."

Aubrey extends his own for a shake. "Well, you already know who I am."

He gives another lazy grin. "A pleasure I'm sure. Always nice to keep up with Mal's friends."

Parker smiles back, lightly. "She has impeccable taste, doesn't she?"

"Interesting tastes would be the term I'd use, I think."

He makes a motion to the unused portion of the couch. An invitation to sit.

"So what do you do in your world, Parker?"

Sitting, Parker says, "This and that. What about you?"

He gives a small, amused raise of his brow. "Me? Just eat, play the dominate game with other vampires, and watch how New Midnight is rising in the vampiric community."

Parker shrugs, amused, "So, you're just an average Joe, then."

"As far as vampires go, yep. The vampires of Midnight, they are a horrible bunch. Ever find a vampire named Jeshickah here, kill her before she enslaves every human here."

"I'll make a note," Parker says. "Though, it doesn't sound like we have a minority of bad guys running around."

There's a faint smirk. "I haven't been paying much attention around here, so I wouldn't know."

"You don't pay attention to your surroundings?" Parker's faintly amused.

"Only when I really have to. I've lived long enough that everything changes so fast that if I pay attention, I'll care. And a heartfelt vampire lives about as long as someone that is part of a hospice program."

Parker blinks, says, "I don't believe in getting detached. It leads to boredom, it leads to becoming boring."

"When you live longer than a thousand years, you'll change your mind. A person can keep themself occupied and entertained without getting into everything. It's just a practiced art."

Shrugging, Parker says, "Luckily for me, I'll die young. More time to develop different artistic skills."

There's a faint amused smirk. "Younger if you keep stating those facts of yours to people. Though you are right, though you probably aren't thinking of the artistic skills most vampires practice."

"Vampire art? Fine art? Or the art of draining people messily?"

Parker smirks. "And going around telling everyone the facts. Well, that'd just be bad business."
