Aubrey's being lazy over on a couch by the fire. Or, he may just be waiting for someone. But, as he's leaving for a bit soon why not come over at talk to him now. He's currently slouched on the couch, feet propped up on the coffee table in front of him.

Wryly, "Makes me glad I'm not a fan of art."

That gets a dark chuckle. "Oh, I don't know, so long as you don't get caught on the wrong side of the pen, it's quite lovely."

"I'm sure," Parker says. "You an artist?"

"Not really. Unless you count battle. Even human, I was more interested in battle and blood than art."

"Makes two of us," Parker says. "Battles are a lot more interesting. Men find out who they are in battle."

"Or who they aren't." Because really, some people aren't cut out for battle. "Either way, it's much more fun being strategical than waving a paint brush around."

"I find the action more fun than the planning," Parker says.

"And yet in order to survive the action, one usually needs some of the planning. Though, I agree."

"Or just a good partner," he says. "People you don't have to explain the plan to are the best type to work with."

"Ones that can pick up what your planning without any real talking or sounds." There's an agreeable nod to go with the comment. "Seen many wars?"

"Not all battles get the title of 'war'." Parker shrugs. "How many have you seen?"

"No, they aren't, nor should they really." There's a small tilt of his head. "How many have been in history in the last three thousand years?"

No, he truly doesn't remember an actual number.

Parker grins. "Well."

"Nice."

He gives a soft chuckle. "Figure it out for yourself did you?"

"Aww, now Aubrey, a man can't appreciate another man's achievements?" Parker grins.

"Of course he can." A trace of distaste enters his voice about here, "Though it seems in today's society you have to be careful how you do. Labels and such."

He sometimes doesn't like society's labels for people.

"Not a fan of labels," Parker says. "It's a way of limiting not just who we are, but putting people into boxes. You can decide who a person is, what they can do, and make a judgment about them. You say 'fag' and all of a sudden you're labeled something loaded with meaning."

Scratching his chin, Parker says, "If forced, though, it wouldn't be an inaccurate label."

Aubrey rolls his head lazily to look at Parker. "It's a way to be able to discriminate against people more easily. Back when I was human, no one cared who you slept with so long as women kept producing heirs. Now days, people have to label everything from sexual preference to religion."

"And people say that words don't hurt." Parker says, "In a day and age where information is power, words become a more dangerous weapon."

Half a smile, "And what about you? If forced to label?"

"People, in a general sense, are stupid."

There's a thoughtful tap to his chin. "If forced, that bisexual option. Pleasure is pleasure and you get it where you can."

"I like queer," Parker says. "Sure, fag messes with this modern idea people have that it doesn't count as being homophobic if they don't use that word, but 'queer' that's just an all over mind fuck. Does it mean gay, does it mean bi, does it mean trans, does it mean straight with leanings?"

"Fewer boxes with that word."

There's an amused chuckle. "You like playing with a person's mind over all, or just in this one particular area?"

"People are a lot more fun if you test their basic ideas about life."

Aubrey gives a grin that shows just a hint of fang. "I foresee us getting along just splendidly."

Parker laughs, "That's what I've been telling you."
