Running cleared his head, and talking with his wife cleared up a few other things. Wells is back in the Bar now, going over a name roster and scowling somewhat. He's neglecting his beer, too. That's how distracted he is.

Makes a good target, maybe. Or not. You never know with these ex-military guys.

*Andrew blinks.*

'S he any relation to Dale Cooper?

"Who?"

Dale Cooper? He's a guy here. FBI, I think.

"Oh. Nah, not that I know of. All Coop's relatives're in the UK."

~~Besides, the mun says they're not related. So.~~

~~Figured, but Andrew had to ask.~~

*Andrew shrugs slightly.* Anyway -- no, don't think I've met him.

Wells nods. "He tried for the Special Forces a month before Scotland," he says. "Came in top of his class, the best candidate they'd seen in a dog's age- only he failed selection 'cos he wouldn't shoot a dog as part of the exercise. He had a record time for stayin' one step ahead of the enemy to begin with. Add in one of those spells..."

*Andrew's nodding.*

And it's something they won't be looking for.

"There we are, then," says Wells. "Nita for the dolphins. Coop for the infiltration. The rest of us as the backup. There's you, me, Zuko- he won't hear of bein' left behind- Calrissian, Arithon, and Ace besides. Arithon can cover us on the way in if need be, the way he was talking, so that'll be a load off in terms of not being seen."

Right.

...If he does get seen, though? What do we do?

The moment that follows Andrew's question would be the perfect moment for the ch-CHK of a bullet being chambered. Alas, Wells does not have proper narrative sense, and so does not have his gun at the ready.

"We kick their fucking teeth in long enough to get Cooper the hell out of there," he says instead.

It will have to do.
