Cywyllog is in the bar this evening. There's no tea or wine, just her, wandering around the main area, humming to herself and absently braiding a lock of hair.

She's contemplating going outside later, as she hasn't been out to the lake very often - if at all - since the weather improved.

"You ever think about being queen?" Parker asks.

"Which leads to the insulting question of whether you love him." Parker smiles a little, softening it.

Parker shrugs. "In my world, women that marry into fortune, sometimes don't do it for love."

Curiously, "I'm interested if it's the same in yours."

"So, that's a no?" Parker asks.

"I'd say, 'I'm sorry', but you don't seem to be that sorry about it," Parker says, completely without judgment. In fact, it might be a little respect. Most women he knows would try to put a prettier face on it.

"And it did. Daughter in law to the one-true-king." Parker smiles. "It's a lot better than being son-in-law to Bertie the female trucker."

"You weren't?" Odd phrasing, because it implies too much. Parker thinks, sometimes he reads too much into things.

"Do you have brothers?" Odd question. Makes sense in his head.

Parker says, "You said that it meant your blood would continue a line of kings. I wondered why that wouldn't happen already."

"Right. The one true king." Parker shrugs. "I come from America. We don't have a monarchy like that. Ours is made of money."

"God, I hope he's not the one true king," Parker says. "I'd have to move here permanantly."

"If you think that taking away basic civil rights and replacing them with a police state is bad, then, yes." He's dry about it, but underneath is fury.
