Ray makes his way down the stairs and out to lakeside, humming to himself. Egon's done some serious scanning work back in his world. There's an approximate location now. It's good.

He hasn't got his 'sabre just at the moment, but Bar was willing to give him a wooden practice sword, and he's perfectly capable of going through basic lightsabre drill techniques from memory. Which he might as well do while he works out how the heck everyone's going to get to the DC area.

"Getting it from being here, you think?" K gestures toward the rest of the bar. "Or is this fall out from one of your busts?"

"That universe's Egon thinks it has more to do with constant low-level exposure to psychokinetic energy in the course of our daily work," Ray says. "Sort of flipping on the emergency latches in the brain or something, causing formerly latent genes to activate in response to perceived environmental stress. I'll tell you, though- I use the meter on myself at least once a week and I don't get anything beyond human baseline normal."

"Well, you've been downing how many glasses a week of that green stuff Bar gives you, and Venkman hasn't."

"Makes you wonder if any of Venkman's ancestors ever manifested unusual abilities."

"It's just soda. A slightly different set of artificial chemicals from the usual stuff out of the Coca-Cola company, but it's still just soda," Ray says. "I asked for safe, after all."

He rubs at his nose, thinking. "Well, apparently his mom did. It didn't go well for her. Beyond that, no word."

"Coca-Cola. Safe. Absolutely." K gives Ray one of those patented MiB looks.

K files away that datum about Venkman's mother for another day.

"Well, if he can stay juiced up through the end of the mission, maybe Venkman might be just what we need if our exit strategy goes south. A good PKE effect ought to be one hell of a countermeasure if we need it."

"Did I mention that one of our volunteers is a fully grown Utahraptor with comprehension of spoken English?"

"..."

"Ray, when you decide to drop a turd in a man's pool, you don't do it by halves."

"Red likes me," Ray says modestly. "She adopted me into her pack a while ago. Brings me meat sometimes because I look after her chick and feed it myself."

.... yeah, the Ghostbuster got made an honorary member of a dinosaur pack.

K is suitably impressed. MiB may have talking dogs, but they certainly don't have dinosaur Agents.

"So if they do give us trouble, we might be having Peck burgers that night?"

"If you can get any of him away from the dinosaur, yeah," Ray says. "Oh, that reminds me. Naraht's coming too. Excavation and all that good stuff. Plus he's provided our comms network- UFP communicator headsets."

K smiles. "Naraht's on board? Starting to sound like old times."

"Have to ask him about those headsets. Been meaning to get my hands on some of his world's tech for a while now."

"Yup. Naraht, and Kitt Knight, and Ecto now that she's sentient, and Red, and you, and Obi-Wan Kenobi volunteered, and Danny Fenton, and all three Egons, and Agatha Clay- ooh, and if you happen to run across a blond kid calling himself Pyro, let me know, okay? He's a mutant and he sounded interested."

"Recipe for a serious smack down if I ever heard one."

"I'll keep an eye out for Pyro. Are we going to need signs to tell the Egons apart, or are the hair colors enough?"

"The hair color'll do it," Ray says. "Well, for two of them, anyway. My Egon's got way more bristly hair than Peter's Egon."

"Fair enough."

K gets ready to leave. "Really do have to charge up those power cells."

"Got a good feeling about this, Ray. Mr. Peck is going to rue the day."

Ray nods. "Looking forward to it. Take care, K."
