Shufti comes down the stairs, carrying Jack. She heads over to the notice board and attempts to read the latest notices. To save time, she starts by reading the first line of each one to see which are relevant, then her eye gets drawn to the sleepover one.

She shifts the position of the baby and attempts to read the whole thing.

"hey, Betty..." Called, a familiar voice, a very happy one.

She jumps and looks around, then smiles and comes up to him.

"Hello Carl."

CJ greets her with a kiss, holding both her and Jack. "How are you Betty? And you Jack?"

"Ba!" Jack gives CJ a cuddle. Shufti smiles.

"I'm okay. What does this sign say?"

She points to Molly's notice.

CJ tuns to the sign, and reads it for Shufti... then:

"My sister did it a few times... all girls, talking girl stuff, and doing girl things..."

"Thanks."

She considers for a moment, a look of slight confusion.

"It's an ironing party?"

"I don't think so... but I don't know for sure. I never saw what they did. You could ask the person who left teh note to be sure. Its an all-girls thing, so I don't think they would tell a guy."

Shufti ponders just how many secrets of ironing there can be.

"I'll ask Molly when I see her."

She hesitates, remembering being told to have a girls' night out some time.

"Are you busy that night?"

"Hmm, no, I am not." He tilts head, watching her.

"Would you mind, um, babysitting please?"

A cheeky persuasive smile.

A chuckle, and he nods. "Sure, I can do that..."

"Thank you."

She kisses him. And then Jack so he doesn't feel left out.

"How are you?"

"I am fine... things going well." He kisses Betty, and carefully takes jack, smiling to the boy.

She cuddles him.

"You eaten yet?"

"Nope. Came down looking for food." He nods. "Meal together?"

"That would be lovely."

She squeezes his hand.

CJ squeezes gently back, and takes her to a booth... and they can order food. Hmm, he lets Betty pick, or he will go with junk food, most likely.

"What do you recommend?" she asks after a moment.

"Borogravia doesn't have much choice in food, so there's lots of things I haven't tried."

"Well, we could try some food from my world... you like meat? Chicken?"

"Sounds good."

She smiles.

CJ grins, and orders a triple portion of Buffalo Wings... explaining that 'Buffalo' is the name of the city where the dish was first made.

Unbreaded flats and drums, deep fried, and coated in a sauce of cayenne pepper sauce, white vinegar, butter, salt, and garlic, served with celery sticks and blue cheese salad dressing.

She tries the different parts, looking curiously at each one before she tastes it.

"What's this?" she asks, looking at the curious blue cheese.

"Blue cheese. Its tasty, but I think I don't want to know how they make it." CJ grins, eating...

She smiles and dips the buffalo wing in it experimentally.

"It's nice. Maybe it's from blue cows."

"Guess I could go to Buffalo some day and find out..." CJ also apreciates the celery. It is good when the heat of cayenne starts building up in the mouth.
