Wedding Day: (the dream is ended-this is the morning)
The day is very fine. Something--or Someone--has kept the weather calm and clear, and the blue sky arches over the small congregation by the lakeshore like a cathedral ceiling. Caspian and Lucy had decided, when he asked for her hand, that they would marry outside, by the lake and the forest and with only the blue and gold and green of the air and the water and the trees about them.
There are simple white chairs for the wedding guests, adorned with blue ribbons and tiny pink wild roses, but little else is arranged out on the grass, and the only movement comes from the arriving guests. It seems the bride and groom prefer it that way.
And the odd thing is--it's September.
And yet the air smells sweetly of lilies.
[Millitimed to approximately 3pm this afternoon. There are two subthreads: for the arrival of guests and the ceremony itself. Slowtime is a certainty, all weekend long. Have fun!]

Re: Mingling of Guests
And Lilly is --
How old is Lilly?
Cooper settles for not saying anything, and manages to hide the brief moment of I may be in trouble that crosses his face before he looks around, interested.
...is that a lion?
Re: Mingling of Guests
She tilts her head, momentarily thoughtful.
"If he does that regularly, I may have found a religion I can really get into."
Re: Mingling of Guests
"Lilly," Cooper whispers, "in my attempts to learn more about how various religions see the physical and the metaphysical worlds, I have never encountered a system of belief whose theology has anything to do with strip clubs."
Re: Mingling of Guests
Lilly shrugs.
"You should have talked to me earlier, then. I have another god scheduled to perform at my charity strip night. Oh, and once I took on the anthropomorphic personification of Death at a game of quarters. He seemed like he'd have been cool with strip clubs too. Of course, any lap dance he'd get would have probably been bruising for the girl and- oh, here's the flower girl!"
Re: Mingling of Guests
Which is really good, because Dale Cooper has no idea what to say to that.
-- scratch that. He does. But he also knows better than to ask questions that have answers that he knows damn well he doesn't really want to know.
