The door swings open, as doors are wont to do. There’s a flash of summer, a snatch of a salty breeze, before the view is blocked by a large, purple umbrella. It advances into the bar, followed by a pair of psychedelic glasses.

Behind those is Luna.

“Oh.”

She pauses, oversized eyes widening even further as she stares around, and lowers the umbrella. Perching the multicoloured glasses on top of her head, she licks a finger and holds it up in the air.

“Oh dear,” she murmurs gravely. “The wind’s changed.”

The door snaps shut behind her.

“Power comes and goes,” she reminds him. “Just look at Grindelwald.”

"He was a fool, not clever enough about it," Echoing his father's words yet again.

“Would you be then?”

Interestedly.

"I could be. If I wanted to bother. I'll do things my own way." More pride.

“You’ll do something stupid. You’re a Slytherin, you’re bound to.”

Not rudely, so much as matter-of-factly.

“Though not as much as Gryffindors.”

"We're cunning. That counts for something. And true, Gryffindors are idiots. At least you Ravenclaws possess intelligence. Much more useful."

“Hermione Granger’s very clever.”

"Perhaps, though you'd think she would have the sense to pick your house instead of Gryffindor."

“She doesn’t believe in the crumple-horned snorkack.”

Said with just a trace of disapproval.

"Well, that's a ringing endorsement for common sense right there," Draco blithingly answered.

“Just because you’ve never seen one,” she retorts, not quite as dreamily as normal, “doesn’t mean they don’t exist.”

"No, only that no one sane has."

She rolls her eyes at him.

“Next you’ll be claiming the blibbering humdinger doesn't exist either.”

He just smirked, "See above."

Luna looks distinctly unimpressed now.

“One day, you’re going to be very surprised.”

"I doubt that, but I think you will be," he shot back.

Coolly,

“You’re being rather rude, you know.”

"Stating the obvious there," he smirked coolly. "Refreshing change from the rantings I'll admit though."

“More people would like you,” she continues, either ignoring him or not listening, “if you weren’t.”

"Maybe I don't care what they think of me?"

Liar. He really does. Attention and power whore that he is.

“Don’t you?”

Fixing him with a thoughtful stare.

"No, I don't. I don't need it." Petty AND sulky wizard now. Almost pouting.

Her head tilts, and she smiles faintly.

“Don’t you get lonely?”

Ooooh, low blow. And it's been brought up before. Danny especially. Also the Ranger.

"No." Yes.

And if Luna has any idea it’s a low blow, she isn’t letting on.

Instead, she continues to smile her little smile, and says, “I get lonely, sometimes.”
