Okay, he's back. Jittery, (though he knows better than to show it,) and watching the bar from a place in the corner (where he can have his back to a wall) and fingers curled tight around his glass.

But he is here.

He nods.

"I know. It is just a sneaking thing at the back of my mind."

"I promise. It is sweet, there, and full of suits and evening gowns and silk slippers."

He loves it.

"I am sure. Do you like it overmuch, then?"

"I adore it."

He nods, passionately.

"It is the best sort of thing."

Fiyero laughs.

"Then I hope visiting does not do something unpleasant to me."

"I hope not."

He's eyed.

"Is it likely to?"

"I've no idea."

He shrugs.

"But I'll test it first. Stick a hand through. If it doesn't want to come back ... well."

"It was fine when I took Mercutio."

If that's any indication.

"We went to Thailand and Poland and all sorts of things. I took Parker to Moscow and China too, but that is different because he is alive."

"It only worries me because Oz is perhaps a long way from Earth and it would be different. But we will see."

"Yes."

Bracing one arm, he leans across to give his cheek a quick, chaste kiss.

"It matters to me that you are coming. Very truly."

Fiyero grins.

"Well, I would like to see anyway, but it makes it better that you're glad of it."

"I am going to ask Belial, if I see him."

It's a large 'if.'

"Ah."

He nods faintly. "You will have many people there, then."

"Yes."

He nods.

"Probably for different nights, as he should not be near Mercutio."

"I'd like to go the night Lethe goes, if you do not mind too terribly."

He adds this absently - he likes her.

"I will try for that, yes."

He nods again.

"And Mercutio mayhap with Luna, I am asking her, I think."

His brow lofts, but he smiles.

"They would get along well, I think. Her glasses are high Ozian fashion."

"I adore her."

He nods decisively.

"Is she not marvellous?"

Fiyero laughs.

"She's quite charming."

"She reminds me of Room, who no longer comes here."

He misses her.

"Oh? She reminds me of -- well, I have not met anyone like her before."

But she'd been nice enough.

"She saved my life, once."

He nods.

"Luna and I chased toast around the ceiling."

Fiyero laughed a little.

"Hm."

"That is the perils of knowing a witch."

He supposes.

"Yes, I understand That."
