Ben's outside in the cold. If only because it keeps him away from being assaulted by the scents within the Bar. He doesn't like that. Not one bit. So he's out in the cold and staring up at the sky. One minute he's there and the next minute he blurs and is up in a tree watching the surroundings below him. He's also looking out for any strange scents that might be about as well. He's just being cautious that way.

Ravin looks over her shoulder, blinks... "Demi-liches don't get sick..."

So they were like transgenics in a way. They didn't get sick either. "Never heard of a demi-lich before." And he hasn't. Despite the fact that his broken Seattle has all kinds of things in it. Dogmen, people with gills and so forth.

"Dad is a lich... a sorceror who bound his soul to an object, and turned his body into a mummified, un-aging vessel, so he would live forever. I am demi-lich. I guess my mother was human, or demi-human." Easier to explain things all at once.

And Ben listens with interest. Even if most of it reminds him of the Nomalies in the basement for the most part but he listens and gives a slight nod. "It's why your scent is different." Because her scent wasn't like the others that he's smelled in this place.

"Yeah, I don't have much of a body temp, or sweat, or stuff..." A shrug, moving out of water. "I like cold. Sorta. Its familiar..."

"Used to train in the cold." In the snow... they also used to be made to stay under water for who knows how long. They're part of the reason why he's broken... the world is the rest of the reason.

"Used to train in cold, water, fire, dark... magic..." A green glow, ans she is dry, and wearing her shoes again.

Which makes him go quiet as he watches. That was... interesting indeed. "I don't think it exists where I'm from."

"Its common in my world, even people who can not use magic, seek out enchanted equipment."

"Some of us in my world don't need it." Because of what they are. The Ordinaries would probably need it but not the Transgenics or Familiars.

"Some beings in my world are magical, naturally... humanoids with strange abilities."

"My kind have strange abilities. Only because of what they did to us." And even the mention of it might get a low and dangerous growl out of him. One that's more animalistic than human.

"They, who?"

"Manticore." He states simply. If it weren't for them he'd be dead. Hell... they were part of the reason he'd died before hand.

"A manticore? In my world it is a beast with a human face, body of a lion, and the tail of a scorpion..."

"No." He states making a slight face. "Manticore. It's a place."

"A nasty place, if the name has any relation with the creature."

"They made me." He states simply. "None of us are human." Not fully anyways.

"You are a golem of some sort?" Brow rises, and she wanders over.

And he blurs and ends up a bit aways so she isn't too close, he's a bit cautious because of what happened back home. "Don't know what that is. Made in a lab. Have feline DNA in me. Like the rest of the Transgenics."

"Yeah, a golem... some crazy wizards build hybrids and such..."

"Not a golem. No wizards." He states shaking his head. "X5 series. Born and bred super soldier."

"Six and a half dozen. The idea is the same, mix and match to make better soldiers, servants, toys and so on."

"No. Not the same." Her logic is lost on him. A golem was nowhere near the same as a Transgenic. Nor was Manticore like her so called wizards.

"Whats the difference? The method? You were created, crafted, cooked, mixed, poured into a mold, or whatever... they made you for a reason, and I guess it was not to 'enjoy yourself'." A smirk...
