Gil gets glomped by a husband and babies.

This is less awkward than it sounds.

Of course it is. Gil is well experienced in dealing with his husband and babies.

"Hello," he says to them as a group, giving each a kiss.

Keiran flails, Georgia giggles and Jack says, "Insistent little beggars, aren't they? When they want Daddy not even the space-time continuum will stand in their way."

"You have my apologies for taking Daddy away from you," Sara tells the children with as seriously as she can, picking Georgia up and hugging her close.

"My Sara!" Georgia proclaims.

"She's been claiming everything and everyone lately," Jack says, hanging onto Gil in a way that says "Mine!" too.

"Sounds to me like she takes after you," Sara retorts with amusement.

"Sara, in some ways, I would say she takes after you," Gil comments, amused.

"Shhh! He's not supposed to know about that!"

"We recognize our own," says Jack with dignity, and Georgia chirps, "My Daddy!"

"Yes, your Daddy." Gil hugs her in turn. "Have you been good for Papa today?"

"Yis!" She is always a good girl! . . . even when getting into the peanut butter and smearing it on Keiran's head.

Um.

"It's been a very peaceful day," says Jack, beaming at her.

"Good girl!" Daddy beams.

"If you keep being a good girl, I think I might know who will carry flowers for me in a few months," Sara adds, tickling her.

Georgia's eyes go wide. "F'owers?"

And there's cherry blossoms in the air. She likes those. They're pink and pretty!

"Flowers, ladybug. These are lovely."

[jack_inthegreen]

"Floooooooooowers!" she crows triumphantly.

[guppy_sandhu]

A large black cat tickles Sara's leg.

Sara glances down, and grins. "Hi, Scampi." She scritches his ears.

[guppy_sandhu]

Scampi purrrrs.

He recognises this one. A possibility of food appears likely.

It might happen at some point. Sara scoops him up in her lap and looks around for Guppy.

There is a teetering pile of paperwork nearby.

Maybe Guppy is behind this?

That's a fair bet. "Guppy?" she calls over. "Put down the pen, back away from the stack, it looks like it's breathing."

He looks up, then looks at the paper.

"Seriously?" You can never tell in this place.

The pile wobbles.

[lvpd_sidle]

"You'll be safe over here for a few minutes. You okay?"

[guppy_sandhu]

He props the pile up with a newspaper, then heads over and nods, rubbing his forehead slightly.

"Hey Sara. Yeah, I'm okay thanks. I just got up a couple of hours ago. Was trying to catch up on sleep." he explains. A nod to Gil. "Hello Gil."

"Hello, Guppy."

"Take a seat, and I think this is yours," she comments, putting the cat in his lap.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Oh, thank you."

He sits down and takes the cat.

"I wondered where he'd wandered off to. He came in with me yesterday when I sortofgotbound."

"You probably need the rest."
