Sure, she defeated the evil Prince Gloom, restored sparkle to Ponyland, won the love and gratitude of many colorfully-assed ponies and if she stayed longer, they'd probably make her their chief.

But even if Lilly weren't missing her friends at the bar, there's a limited amount of time she can stay in a place where the hardest drink is apple juice and none of the men are anatomically correct. That time is up.

The front door opens and Lilly enters, grinning cheerfully and swinging a basket in each hand as she heads for the bar. Her hair is suspiciously sparkly and she's gotten tanner, but other than that, nothing's changed.

Well. Don't ask about her flanks.

Lilly maintains an impressively straight face.

"Prince Gloom was trying to steal all their color and sparkle by making them sad."

*Meg looks appropriately aghast at this revelation.*

- did he just want the color and sparkle for himself? Because, you know, a trip to a, comment dit-on, a gay bar might help with that.

"No, he was using it to build his Doom Castle."

Lilly shrugs.

"Weird guy, kinda cute in an emo way, but not worth his issues. He ended up getting reformed by overexposure to perkiness anyway."

[balletrat]

. . . Doom Castle? He should team up with Alanna for naming, *Meg says, giggling.*

Good for you, anyways! Is he off frolicking with the ponies as we speak?

"Yeah, my spunky defiance in the face of his, um, attempts to make me sad melted his icy exterior and he reformed."

Lilly frowns a little.

"You know, if he weren't from a kids' toy universe, I'd swear he seemed like he'd gone gay right after reforming. That was some serious frolicking."

[balletrat]

. . . to be fair, *Meg points out,* it's kind of hard to stay straight, I would think, in the face of sparkly ponies. It's like a self-defense mechanism.




*Beat.

Fatally curious:* How did he attempt to make you sad?

"He told me none of the ponies really wanted to share their apples with me."

Lilly snorts.

"I told him I'd make up for that in appletinis when I got back here, and then we got sucked into a song-and-danceoff. So weird."
