"Free of charge counselling sessions free of charge!" Says one screeching Dalek as it floats down the stairs. "Free Horoscope and palm-reading, as well. Find emotional well-being despite your frail human psyches!"

Dalek is always botherable.

“I suppose it might be. But it’s still fun.”

"No, it is not."

“Have you ever tried?”

"Fun is an inferior concept! Daleks do not degrade themselves with it!"

“But if you don’t try,” she points out patiently, “you don’t know.”

"Daleks do not need to try to know!"

“Why not?”

"Because we are superior beings."

“But why shouldn’t superior beings have fun too?”

She frowns, shaking her head. Daleks make no sense.

"I have already explained that!"

“Not very well, I’m afraid.”

"That's your own fault for not listening properly."

Cheerfully, “I can’t help it. I’m only an inferior being, you know.”

"Yes. But fortunately for you, you are not going to be exterminated."

She blinks.

“Do you exterminate people often?”

"Yes."

“That,” she says, after a moment’s contemplation, “won’t get you many customers either.”

"I've got plenty so far." Smugly.

“Really?”

With just a hint of scepticism.

"Yes."

“For long?”

"Yes. They very much enjoy the service and find it very helpful."

She eyes him and his italics.

“You must find it very fulfilling.”

"Very much so."

“Enjoyable?”

Maybe even… fun?
