"Paralysed by fear!" Dalek repeats, shaking back and forth slightly.

"Er," says Mulcahy. "I appreciate the offer, my -- child, but--" I don't find myself in need of uplifting today, he was going to say, a weak attempt at a joke, but then the ... creature is shaking back and forth and he returns to his default position of gaping and attempting to parse what exactly is going on right now.

As if sensing his insatiable boredom, Bar, besides providing him lunch, has provided James with a bouncy rubber ball. He does not, exactly, know what to do with this bouncy rubber ball, as bouncing it against the walls would cause someone to complain about the noise, and bouncing it at random would likely cause the ball to hit another patron. As bored as he is right now, he's not bored enough to take it out on other people. Which means the ball is being put to good use by...being dribbled between the palm of his hand and the table top.

Luckily, Dalek's screeching has distracted him!

Daleks don't have facial expressions, for they don't have faces. Currently, Dalek does not have a mortified expression as it looks at Foaly.

"Whoah, chill," she says, giving him the big little-girl eyes. Hey, they work on Victor- sometimes- it's worth a shot.
