Lake Party Water Post Day Two

Sunshine Dust, the golden squid, frolics closer to shore today. There were so many people to play with in the lake yesterday! And squids need love and attention too!

There's a soft breeze coaxing the water into gentle waves, playing around the Black Pearl's sails.

If you didn't get a chance to swim yesterday, there is only today.

Tomorrow, it will be February again.

::Tired:: she chuckled across his mind. All told, with the lake party and the increased excitement in her usual quiet retreats...she'd probably not slept.

::Things go alright after we left? They didn't pounce you with questions did they?:: the waters rippled as she shifted about to look in his direction.

Mmm. No. They looked as if they'd like to, but by now they've got the point. It doesn't hurt when one is very good at tying people in knots, literally or conversationally.

He smiles. No doubt. It's been lively out here.

::You're going to have them practically whimpering in hopes of information:: she laughed, a feeling along the spine like warm, tired bubbles...

::...yeah. I guess it's nice to be resting in water rather than ice but...:: the shrug was implied.

oooh, really? Wide-eyed, hopeful look.

If one feels the cold, I suppose. It won't be like this nonstop.

::Yeah, I bet you a flight, if they don't end up pestering you...:: she was certainly grinning.

::Have you gone swimming?::

There was stillness in the little secluded area, a focusing of the comfy vagueness...

Then a series of ripples as she drifted closer to him, hair like blood in the waters ::Why not?::

He's not getting out of this either, is he? Lack of practice. I've never been a champion at it nor even close.

She was close enough that the grin was visible in the shadows ::It's like flying, Michael...don't think, just do::

::I promise not to let you drown::

The grin is what does it.
He drops to one knee, water now up over his legs, and slides in,
swimming, if clumsily.

Rachel's grin could do that upon occasion, amongst the right people.

She slid easily to his side, as comfortable in water as in the air it seemed, scars painfully detailed, true Arte Macabre...and if his swimming was clumsy? Well, she echoed him, almost teasingly, stroke for stroke, never out pacing.
