Hey look! Sleeping Beauty!
Well, no, actually. Just a beautiful young lady who happens to be asleep on yet another couch, a half-eaten apple sitting in her hand.
Oh no! What if she's Snow White and the apple has put her in a sleeping death?
Granted, it hasn't. Something far less drastic instead.
But still.....
Any Prince Charmings or dashing knights care to come wake her up?

"Tis a lovely place, milady, would ye join me for a meal an a dance?"
no subject
And she mumbles a little, nothing discernible.
no subject
Since that doesn't seem to be too comfortable a place to sleep.

Hey look, an apple.
She picks it up and takes another bite, sort of sitting up as she does, but still rather drowsy.
no subject
He is standing beside her, bowing again since that's what you do to women though he's not quite clear why.
no subject
"You needn't worry about that, sir. I feel I have slept enough."
And she takes a brief look around.
She did wake up, didn't she?
"Perhaps too long. I'm afraid I don't know where I am."
Or really anything else, but one thought at a time.
In fact, is this even her apple?
She looks at it, debating whether to take another bite.

"That sounds like a good idea."

He then spied the young woman sleeping, and she's lovely. Beautiful, and perfect. He had to meet her. Worry about the name part later.
Who seemed to be sleeping? Hopefully that was all, but he went over to check.
"Miss? Oi, you all right?"
no subject
She might hear his voice in her dreaming.
Soothing, calm.
The mind might forget, but the body might have to be considered another matter.
A little mumble.
A quiet, lovely voice saying nothing at all because she doesn't need to.
no subject
"You all right?" He asked again. Seemed to breathing all right, but he leaned closer to make sure.
It was instincts that drew him to kiss her. Has to be that.
no subject
Then she wakes up completely.
And realizes she has no idea who she is.
Or who is kissing her.
And after a moment of confusion, she does the only sensible thing a woman in this situation would do.
She screams.
no subject
When he finally could speak, he hurriedly replied, "Whoa, calm down! I was just checking to see if you were all right. You weren't waking up." He placed a hand up.
"Don't attack me, please?"
no subject
She pauses.
"At least, I can't remember ever being kissed before."
She looks over him for a moment.
"Why did you kiss me?"
no subject
He got up and grinned at her, "Glad you're fine. ...Have we met? No, would remember meeting right? Hmmm... you know your name?"
no subject
"I'm very flattered, but I'm afraid I don't know what name to give you for your troubles."
She blinks a little.
"I don't believe we've met. But I could be mistaken. Have we?"

"Excuse me? I don't mean to disturb your sleep, well, I sort of do."
no subject
"Oh, I'm sorry," she says sleepily. "Is this your couch?"
no subject
no subject
"Now that you mention it, I don't really remember any of that either."
Well.
This is an interesting problem.

"No new news yet," Marian said walking up again. "But Number 5 and I devised a system so we could all start keeping ourselves in order, more recognizable to each other, until we can figure out the process. This is a name tag, with a number in order for how you were found. And there's a place for your name on it under the number if someone tells you who you were or you remember."
Handing over the tag on a lanyard, she says, "Yours is five, just like I told you. Here's the place for a name. I'll try to keep everyone updated if we figure out anything."
no subject
She's quite happy with it.
She even doodles a little gorgon in the corner.
