Suzi is settled in for interviews. She's still got a list of people who haven't come by yet, and she's got a pot of tea to help her get through the day.

...Alright, and today she's got her knitting. She can knit and take notes at the same time. It's not that hard, as long as she's got a ventral free to write with she's fine.

Suzi smells like a dog they haven't met! Joy isn't here right now, but Suzi smells like a little brown puppy! She's also got three sets of knitting needles clicking away.

The clicking attracts Rasia, but the other two continue hot on Ace's heels. Ace waves as she passes Suzi's table.
"'Lo, Suzi."

"Hi, Ace." Suzi leans down and offers Raisa a hand (and several tentacles). The puppy snuffles the hand (et. all) before deciding this is Acceptable. "You got new dogs?"

"They're m'mate's dogs - Spoon? He usually takes care of the kids, but he's off huntin'... some sort of space monkey invasion thing with his buddies." Ace explains, scooping up Stepan before he can get in the way of another patron.

"I haven't met him." Suzi says, grinning and setting her knitting aside to give Raisa the rubbing that a big puppy deserves, "He likes big dogs, I guess? Space monkeys? That's weird."

"Gonna be raisin' them, f'guard dogs an' the like. Startin' up a whole kennel." Ace explains, letting Stepan rest his head on her shoulder. "An' yeah, the space monkeys thing is rather odd. Sommat his mate Cooper found, out in the back of nowhere."

"Ahhh." Suzi pauses for a minute, "Um, Ace? Are there two meanings for mate, or are you all three lovers?"

She's alright with both meanings, but would hate to make a mistake.

Ace looks vaguely squicked. Just a little. Even though she's only vaguely met Cooper in the 'oh yeah he was the unconscious/semiconscious dude' sort of way.
"Um. Two meanin's."

Ow.

Now there's a familiar face. Agnes still can't get over how everyone here has barely aged at all while she's been gone.

She gives a wave to Suzi from across the way and heads over toward the other woman's table. "Hey there!"

"Agnes? Hi!" Suzi beams. It's good not having to rely on your eyes, the nager is the same no matter how old someone gets, "It's been forever...and longer for you, I guess?"

The witch grins and nods. "Two years since I left. I've been back a couple of times the past two weeks or so, but hadn't seen you around. I finally worked out how to get here whenever I want and not be Bound. How are you? Things with Whistler still going well?"

"I'm so glad for you! I'm good, I'm doing hires for Security?" she holds up her pad of paper, "Initial interviews, anyway? We're still going strong, although he's been really busy at home so hasn't been here much. The door has been letting me go to his world."

"Home is where your heart is, they say^*. This place can be downright sentimental sometimes. So, since when have you been on Security? I didn't think you were when I left."




* In the case of Igors, this is often a literal statement.

"Home is where his nager is." Suzi corrects cheerfully, "Not that long, really? It gives them someone else who doesn't mind paperwork, and me something to do."

"Tell me about it. It's why I started waiting tables. Couldn't get any proper witching done, so it was nice to at least be able to help people in some form."

Agnes helps herself to a seat across from Suzi. She notices an attractive older guy pacing around the room and turns to watch him as he passes. One might hear a slight sigh and faint whimper in the back of her throat.

"So," she says, trying to focus her thoughts again, "besides paperwork, what have you been doing lately?"

"Are you alright?" Suzi asks at the whimper, "Oh, not much. Expanding my jewelry business into Whistler's world, keeping track of Richard's progress in learning jeweling, lots of knitting, paperwork for the company Whistler works for, lots of cleaning, taking care of Joy."

...Some people's definition of "not much" is different from normal people.

Sometime before she gets an apple, should such a thing occur, Kate approaches.

Interview time!

"Hello!" Suzi is chipper. Really chipper. She comes that way... "Are you here for an interview?"

"Yep. Kate Pryde. Nice to meet you."

"I'm Suzi Darley." she says cheerfully, waving toward a seat, "I'm just going to jump in, alright? What is your full name, including any and all titles?"

[prydeful]

"Fine," she says after laughing for a moment. "Katherine Ann Pryde, Kitty, Kate, Shadowcat. Daughter of the demon if you're very technical."

Suzi writes every one of those down, laughing softly because Kate did, "Mmkay, What is your trade?"

"Er. Adventurer-protector type. Also teacher. My government records say I'm a teacher."
