[OOM: All things must eventually come to an end, some more quickly than others.]

And Mia is back in the bar, quite normal.

Which fortunately means that one Eugene Roe won't be wearing his stomach as a hat courtesy of Draco Malfoy anytime soon.

Mia is just sitting in a booth, idly wondering where Draco is, come to think of it.

She's still got a little dreaminess to her, but that's more of a waiting for who she really loves dreaminess.

"I'm just lousy when it comes to confidence, I'm afraid," she murmurs back. "It kind of happens when you're expected to live up to one of the Four Heroes."

"But you were one of them. How can you be anything else?"

She lifts her head a little and smiles.

"You need to pay more attention," she scolds playfully. "Mother was one of the Four Heroes, not me."

It's hard to tell what her eyes are focusing on exactly. She's not looking at anything specific.

She's still sheepish.

"People say I'm one of the Five Heroes."

"Well, Four Heroes, Five Heroes. Easy to mix them up," Draco blustered a little as he looked back at her with his grey eyes.

"But people already see you as one. Is it that hard for you to pretend to be good and heroic, honestly? I'm neither, and I can still see it." he rolled his eyes a little.

"Well, admittedly, it's harder to mix them up when you grow up hearing about one for your entire life."

And she's not exactly sure what he's getting at.

"What do you mean by pretend?"

"I mean you don't have to act that way because you are that good and heroic. You're not pretending then."

He says the nicest things sometimes.

"I only did what the Guildmaster is supposed to do," she quietly says, looking down partly to hide her blushing.

He reached over with his free hand to touch her chin, and gently tip her head up for eye contact again.

"It's more than that. They see you as the Guildmaster, but they also respect you. Wouldn't be so loyal otherwise if it was just a title."

She finds it increasingly difficult to support her side of the argument.

All she can come up with is, "Anyone could have done it," and that point is made rather quietly.

"Anyone like me? You honestly think they'd look at me like they do you? Bring me gifts? Any of it?" He gently scoffed.

"Well, yes, if you did what we had done."

It only makes sense. Even Nash gets his share of fame and gratitude for helping to save the world, even after what he did before.

"That's if I would. Probably thought it was too much trouble to be worth it."

"Then it would depend on your reason. All of us were fighting in order to protect our free will."

She looks a little away.

"Alex had another reason, though. He also fought to save the woman he loves."

Draco considered that thoughtfully as he held her. He looked down at her for a while.

He finally said, "...Maybe I would have a reason then."

That gives her reason to blush.

"So my point is valid," she says a little uselessly.

"It is. And so is my point about you. You'll do all right." He whispered, and kissed her forehead. Nuzzling a little.

She closes her eyes and just leans against him.

"You don't mind telling me that every now and then, though, do you?"

For some reason, when he says it, she believes it.

"Just to make sure?"

"Well, hopefully not too often. Would get tiresome wouldn't it?"

He finally sighed, "Fine, whenever you want. Just for you."

"Hopefully, I won't ask too often."

She nuzzles a little.

"You could always find other ways to tell me."

Small grin, "Oh I can think of several other ways offhand."

She holds his hand.

"You're impossible. But I think that's why I love you."

He just smirked, and nuzzled her again.

"I'm impossible, but look wonderful. And perfect. You're wonderful all around, and I love you. It works."

Giggle.

"Yes, you look fine enough. Like you've never gotten your hands dirty. We'll have to do something about that. A nice trip at home would do you some good. We can take it after the trip to your world."

She might be a little interested in the brooms there.

He made a face at the idea.

"Nothing wrong with keeping one's hands clean. But after the ceremony, I'll see about plans for a trip home. And then your world again."

She gives him an incredulous smile.

"There's also nothing wrong with living every once in a while. You're not going to let a little bit of wilderness and adventure get the better of you, are you?"
