*Fate breezes into the bar as breezily as a smug being like Fate can breeze. Which is to say that he blows through the door in the form of an unusually cold gust of wind before solidifying into a seated figure at the bar, not that he enters cheerily and casually. After all, that is much harder.*

David walks over from an entirely different continuity from any one that exists in bar, and sits down at the bar when the wind wafts by him and a man appears.
"Now that was some entrance," he says, turning with a raised eyebrow at the gentleman now sitting beside him.

*He shows David the badge. It is very shiny. And says "Glod."
Fate scowls and shakes the badge. It says "G
lod" now.Again. Now "God."
He nods, satisfied, and puts it away. Into nowhere.*
I see I'm going to have to have another Word with the Lady.

"Which Lady? There are several here."
no subject
The Lady, of course.
*helpfully* She has very green eyes. You aren't meant to say her name. She is not a lady in the usual sense of the word. Or at least, not often.

Then you know her. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but never predictable. Very fickle. Changing.

"Luck...
"I don't seem to be having of that lately."
His fingers are rubbing his temples. He's still slightly headachey from earlier.

"Fate and all that? Playing bastarding annoying tricks with me lately.
"Or at least, someone is."

*very amused* We've met.

"Never seen you before in my life."

But you know me. Better than some.
no subject
Although he thinks he already knows.
no subject
You know me, David.

And then he's just holding his head in his hands again.
"Why."

There are two sides to everything.
Her side doesn't care.
Slipshod craftmanship is only good for moments.

But then, did you ask me?
Never seen you before in my life.
