Wes is rather pleased today. His hair is less obnoxious (tinted green, with reddish streaks), he's got a girlfriend, and ... that's it, but it's more than enough to be pleased about.
Okay, his door's still not there, but it's never a good idea to dwell on details.
Specials
Laser Beam
Crazy Maker
Vanilla Coke
He is attentive! He will actually serve you without having to be poked!
How about that.

A lot less happy than Wes looks that is.
She comes to sit right in front of him, frowning. "When do you get off your shift?"

"Because. I'm very upset and I need you to make me feel better." She looks a bit odd then. "No matter how corny that sounds."
She should have just gone with the first phrase.
no subject
"You can be corny -- I'll just laugh. Did something happen? I'll get you a drink," he adds helpfully, "what d'you want?"
no subject
She headbars. "Though I'd not let her know that. She just knows I'm angry."
no subject
"If you weren't jealous at all, it probably wouldn't hurt," he points out. "But I can make you feel better later. 'Til then, I can get you drunk, which might have more or less the same effect anyway."
no subject
She sips at the drink before taking a large gulp. "It's just...I never wanted her to be angry at me. And now she's just...rubbing things in my face. I'm...babbling."
She busies herself with more drinking.
no subject
"You can babble," he says with a rueful smile. "Things with you and Shalla'll get better later. You're just both upset just now."
He does not add that it's his fault. Possibly this goes without saying.
no subject
It happened.
She reaches out and touches his hand where he wipes down the Bar. "Thanks. For dealing with your incredible babbling girlfriend." There's a hint of a smile there. He's done a good job so far.

"...normal for me."

With a grin, he brushes his hair away from his forehead and holds it with both hands, attempting to cover it up.
"There. Easier?"

(After half a second, he lifts a hand again to flatten it quickly.)
"What's wrong with my forehead?"
no subject
She pulls her fringe back and grins. "Hmm?"

He mimics her glance around, then leans across the Bar with interest.

There's managing for you.

He pulls back after a moment, though, and smiles ruefully. "'m on duty."

"--yeah, I mean ... a 'fresher break?" He glances at her cynically. "That's, what, three minutes? Five?"

She leans down and kisses him again, deeply.

He's grinning ruefully when he pulls away, though. "She's prob'ly just pleased there are no bartenders to make out on her. Y'know, I think I'm due a 'fresher break soon anyway..."

He glances round warily, then steps out quickly from behind the Bar. "Ten minutes," he murmurs to Inyri. "I mean, I shouldn't at all, but..."
no subject
On the specials board, she writes out carefully, Be back in 10 Minutes. "There," she murmurs, quickly rounding the Bar again. "Now people will know to wait. You had something...urgent to take care of."
Very urgent, from the way Inyri presses herself against him just so.
no subject
"--c'mon," he murmurs, and tugs on her hand. "Better hurry."
