One gloved hand rests on the window, as Axel looks out, gazing impassively at The End.
It's rather unusual for him to be doing it, but it's raining outside, and that's spoiled his plans for the evening. So instead of sulking by the fire, he's staring out into the violent, explosive vacuum.
He wonders if it's cold out there, or hot.

What is it about her?
His frown is purely mental, as he tries to figure it out. She reminds him... oddly enough, of Sora and Luxord both.
no subject
It wasn't human, but that didn't mean it was better.
no subject
Sora, Luxord, and Vexen.
"Everyone's entitled to an opinion."

She turns her attention back to her mechanism.

Something in his head clicks. He blinks.
"Two hearts," he murmurs. That's what he's been feeling. Double the brightness, double the vitality.
no subject
"Of course," she replies. "You didn't think I was human, did you?"
She sounds as if the very idea is insulting.
no subject
"You look more or less human, but so do I," he replies. "I don't assume much, especially not in Milliways, but two hearts makes you a Time Lord. Or am I mistaken?"
no subject
She sounds both pleased and amused. Of course she was. Down to the very last cell.
"Though two hearts would only mark me as Gallifreyan. But you're not wrong."
no subject
"Nice to know the distinction."
no subject
One that she, of all people, would not let anyone forget.
"A friend of the Doctor then?"
As he was here, it would make the most sense.

no subject
"Really?"
She pauses, considering how to phrase her question. Everything she says and does is deliberate, even when it comes to someone she considers insignificant.
"Then who?"
no subject
no subject
She might have to find this man. Possibly to refine his knowledge correctly and possibly to find out where he found out the information.
no subject
He shugs a little.

"What's it to you?"
no subject
She smiles at him, a sly, sharp smile.
"Wouldn't you want to know such a thing?"
no subject
He's learned more about Time Lords from Ace.
no subject
"Interesting."
She'd have to find out more about what the Doctor had told people. She could, of course, hunt down the man who'd spoken to this creature, but it would be more reasonable to ask him personally. After all, he'd seemed mildly understanding the last time they'd spoken.
Willing, at least, to share something like that, or so it seemed to her.

Two hearts.
Two hearts.
"Why do your people have two hearts?"

"And that doesn't mean I won't tell you. It does mean I might want something in return."
no subject
"I can deal with that. What'd that 'something' be?"
