One gloved hand rests on the window, as Axel looks out, gazing impassively at The End.
It's rather unusual for him to be doing it, but it's raining outside, and that's spoiled his plans for the evening. So instead of sulking by the fire, he's staring out into the violent, explosive vacuum.
He wonders if it's cold out there, or hot.

She sounds...quite off, and her eyes are a little bloodshot. Huh.
no subject
"Yeah, that's one way of putting it."
Pause.
"You look like hell."

His eyes track a brilliant orange star as it's pulled apart, and dissipated into nothingness.
"Been a while," he says after a moment, with a grin for her.
no subject
(And she feels slightly clumsy and words fail her for a moment).
"Yes," she says finally. "I went to England with my brother. It was nice. I'm really hungry."
And then? THEN SHE LAPSES INTO GIGGLES.

You know. No sunlight. To keep her warm.
no subject
"Yeah, I can do without the rain." He pauses for a moment, considering, and then gives himself a mental shrug.
"Hey, you said you're hungry. I'll get you something, if you wanna tell me about England."
And that way he can observe more; there's something that's just... off about her, right now.

"What brownies?"
no subject
Very.
It doesn't really fit her.
"They were on a table..."
no subject
He gives her a long look.
"Please tell me you know better than to take random free food in this place."
no subject
AKA: NO. SHE DID NOT KNOW BETTER.

She's sitting at one of the tables this time, almost done with the device she'd been working on. The parts she'd needed were relatively cheap and relatively easy to find in most relatively advanced markets and as such, the bar had been able to produce them for her at a reasonable rate.
Whether she would go back through the door and attach it to Arbitus's ship, or if she would attempt to find help in this place is something she's still considering.

He turns around to face her, the habitual grin on his face and leans back against the window.
"Haven't bothered to look at it much since I first got here though."
no subject
After that, you know what it looks like. Why watch again?
no subject
He shrugs.
There's something about her, it strikes him. Something nagging at his senses - the ones that have nothing to do with his eyes and ears.
no subject
She's found most people here quite happy to laze about doing nothing at all. They drink, they laugh; they do all manner of things with no concern for productivity. It grated on her nerves almost as much as the fact that she was without her TARDIS.
no subject
What is it about her?
His frown is purely mental, as he tries to figure it out. She reminds him... oddly enough, of Sora and Luxord both.
no subject
It wasn't human, but that didn't mean it was better.
no subject
Sora, Luxord, and Vexen.
"Everyone's entitled to an opinion."
no subject
She turns her attention back to her mechanism.
no subject
Something in his head clicks. He blinks.
"Two hearts," he murmurs. That's what he's been feeling. Double the brightness, double the vitality.
no subject
"Of course," she replies. "You didn't think I was human, did you?"
She sounds as if the very idea is insulting.
no subject
"You look more or less human, but so do I," he replies. "I don't assume much, especially not in Milliways, but two hearts makes you a Time Lord. Or am I mistaken?"
