"Ace. I'm Ace. The Doctor's companion, ya know, the one who bloody beat you last time?" If anything, the venom in her voice has only increased.

*Bigby seemingly goes off on a tangent, but figures it might be the right way to sneak in some reason to Ace.*

You know, I don't think I look very weasely. Nor do I know you, Ace. Or this "Doctor".

"Nice try, Fenric." She snarls, through the tough-girl image is a bit ruined by the tears streaking down her face. She has never been so frightened in her life, especially since the Professor isn't here to help.
"I'm not bloody buying it. I'm not going to serve you again!"

Hmmm. And here I thought the first time you said that was an "God!" equivalent.

See, this is the problem.

*He sticks out a finger for each point.*

First, my name's Bigby.

Second, I don't want you to serve me.

*She calls herself a companion, and we all know what euphemism that's for. He's not interested in her services.*

Ace really doesn't know what to say to that. She isn't about to let her guard down though - the last time she trusted someone other than the Doctor the last time Fenric was around, she had ended up playing right into Fenric's hands. So she goes with the repetition routine.
"Bugger off!" she snarls, pressing back as hard as she can against the wall as if she is trying to push her way through it.

Can't. I'm head of security here. It's my job to make sure you're safe.

*Clearly, she doesn't right now...*

"Safe? With you? That's a laugh." she growls, just managing to avoid whimpering.

Unless you're a real troublemaker, you're perfectly safe here.

*Reassurring really isn't in Bigby's repetoire, sadly.*

... I have a tendency to kill or maim them. *Cue a very predatory lupine expression here.*

"And anyone else who's convinient." Ace snarks back, her mouth obviously moving way faster than her brain.

No, those days are long gone. *He looks rather expressionless at that.*

There is a loud click directly behind Bigby. Jamie MacCrimmon is standing there, rigid, tense, and holding a heavy (and cocked) flint-lock pistol aimed directly at Bidby's head.

"GET YE AWAY FROM HER!

*Bigby doesn't look particularly bothered by the gun. He turns around to see who's dumb enough to actually threaten him.*

Do you know her?

"Aye. She is my friend...and ye are threatening her!" Jamie holds the gun leavel with the man before him. He doesn't know who he is, only that he has Ace apparently cornered and very scared.

"Move away."

Actually, no, I'm not. *Bigby disagrees with the threatening bit.*

I'm trying to tell her I'm not "Fenric" whoever that is.

You, on the other hand, are very clearly threatening me, the head of security here. I'd suggest you put that down. *Bigby is being rather reasonable (for him anyways) at the moment. Freaky.*

Ace, finally, has come to the decision that it is time to be very, very quiet. She has to grin though - evidently there are some reflexes learned while with the Doctor that never go away.

*Reassuring, however is in Tims vocabulary. And as he sees Bigby menacing someone who's friends with his childhood idol, he attempts to be so again. Tim slips up beside Bigby, smiling slightly.*

Hey boss, everything okay?

*He smiles at Ace*

You all right Ace? don't mind the boss his bark.... well, it's not worse then his bite, but he does sometimes bark a lot... No offense boss.

*Bigby waves it all aside.* You know her, Tim?

*Tim nods.*

Yah boss, thats Ace. Shes okay. I have... er...

*Don't mention the tv show, don't mention the show.*

"Prior Knowledge" that shes one of the good guys.

Ace isn't sure if she should be trying to back up what Tim is saying or if she should attempt to ream him out for even talking to Fenric. Doesn't he know what kind of danger he's in?

*Tim smiles his reassuring smile at Ace.*

Ace, This is Bigby, the head of security here at Milliways. My boss

*Just a bit of stress on that word.*

Jaime turns ever so slightly to Tim "Ye seem to ken them both...tell this man to get away from Ace, or I'll put a hol in him!"

*Tim rises his hand, his fingers moving slightly. There is a very slight tug on the mans gun and Tim holds up the bullet.*

Not without ammunition you won't.

*Aside to Bigby.*

Yes, i know it wouldn't do any real damage, but thing of your tailor.

*back To jaime and ace.*

please folks, this man is a high ranking member of the Bar Staff. And it's a really bad idea to threaten him. And no need to be afraid if you're good people.

JAime gets the gist of what Bigby and Tim are saying. "If ye are the head o' security, whay are ye after Ace?" Knowing only SOME of Ace's background, JAmie doesn't realize the irony of this statement.
