(no subject)

Armand walks downstairs, and looks around distastefully.

Loudly, he asks, "Does no one observe tradition anymore?" He sighs and walks to the bar, shouting into the back. "Where's the tree?"

"Oh, no, I wasn't the only god there; there were many. Every people had a few. Or has, rather."

The world is still there. Only Asar-Suti is here now.

"I've heard of that Earth place, and that there's many different versions of it. Why is that; does anybody have any idea? It's sad that Richard and you can't be in the same world when you go home, even if you come from the same place, mostly."

"I'm the Dark God of a magical race called the Ihlini, that you've probably never heard of, from a small simple world that hs no name, simply being the world to the people there, so you've definitely never heard of it. I don't always feel very divine here in Milliways, though. It's full of magical and supernatural beings."

He smiles at Armand, thoroughly approving of his relationship with Richard. Richard is a great fellow and deserves someone who's as wondeful to him as he's seen Armand be the other day. Asar-Suti not only approves of religion, he approves of love as well.

"It would be a pity to see Richard go from here, though. I very much like seeing him at breakfast."

Asar-Suti smiles, just a tiny bit melancholically, at how obvious Armand's love for Richard is, and how proud he is of him.

"He's a very good person, yes; and a good man, most likely, and definitely a very good barkeeper who can handle many things - even Dark Gods. I like him a lot, and I am glad to know he's happy. He deserves happiness."

All of a sudden, there is an immense pain on Asar-Suti's face. This had been such a pleasant little ceremonial expedition in the snow; he just doesn't want to think of Lochiel just now.

"Sorry, I don't want to bother you with my problems, so is it all right if I don't answer that one?" he finally says.

Asar-Suti sighs deeply. He can't imagine that it ever stops hurting. Unless Lochiel returns to him, and in that case, the problem wouldn't be there any more, would it? But there might be a middle stage where talking about it to Armand might actually help in some way.

"His name is Lochiel; I think Richard might have mentioned him and me fighting the other morning? And I'd like to talk to you about him, actually, once I've got over that fight we had, and the other one we had yesterday. But just now, it only hurts to think of him. I love him a lot, is all I can say."

"I don't know if any help would be very effective; I think he might simply have to run his course that he's on now", Asar-Suti sighs. "But simply to talk to somebody would help a lot, if you'd listen to me sometime? I hope I'm not disappointing you, being a god with a catastrophic love life just like everybody else."

[identity profile] asar-suti.livejournal.com 2004-12-14 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
"Well, I'll gladly put your listening abilities to a test", Asar-Suti says, almost as cheerfully. "And Lochiel's not a god, he's human, more or less, apart from the magic and the near-immortality; but I do think I, erm, fucked up most of it. Apart from where he's suddenly gone mental. But I wasn't going to moan about that now."

He sighs deeply. I is a kind of painful pleeasure, even, to say Lochiel's name.

"Are there more, then?" he asks. Perhaps it was something in the air here, not just something between Lochiel and himself? "Let's hope they all snap out of it."

"I mean, I feel differnt from the way I felt at home, too" Asar-Suti admits. "Less abstract, somehow. But my poor Lochiel - he really suffers. He probably has a point, too, but that doesn't mean..."

His voice trails off. He wasn't going to talk about it now, was he?

"What's your friend's madness about?"

"That doesn't sound good at all", Asar-Suti says. That 'hurt' has a depth to it he doesn't like. It sounds to much like the 'hurting' Lochiel had accused him of. TOo much of that going on, somehow.

He looks quite glum.
