Ka-thunk!
Tap!taptaptaptap
Outside a handful of paces away from the door a soccer ball pounces off the wall of the bar, bouncing back a few paces only to be kicked right back against it again; all the spots landing within the same location every turn. Lucas never played the sport in college- he was to busy competeing with Merle in track and sometimes fencing events. Mostly track though. Heck! Both of them had even made it to the Olympic trails until they quit.
The Prince snorted a laugh as he kicked the ball again with another ka-thunk against the wooden wall. It would have been interesting to see where they both would have placed had they actually gone through with it. But for now he can only dream of it as he kicks the black and white ball off the wall.
Anyone care to join him?

Coming closer, he realises it is simply a ball. It is still a rather hefty one, and Teja stops, watching the man at his rather fierce sport.

Soon Lucas finds himself on the ground and the ball bouncing off the top of his head which causes him to wince. He never said he as the most graceful of people, like, ever.
Have a laugh, Teja!

He just looks down at the young man with faint amusement.
"That was not planned, one would assume?"

"Never was much fos soccer as I was for track though."

Blink. Pause. Squinty eyes. There may even be a couple of pokings Teja's way.
"You don't seem dead." But soon Luke was ducking his head in embarassment looking very much the kid with his hand caught in the cookie jar. "Ah..sorry. Just didn't know..yeah. I'm Lucas- everyone calls me Luke though."

Pause.
"I am Teja, son of Tagila; I was the last king of the Ostrogoths in Italy."

And no he's not mocking or anything. Luke is really curious and excited! "And yeah..just got here on Monday and my door is gone. I think it's called..being Bound, right?"

"There a lot of people like that here? I mean, kings and generals and he like."

"Real Goddesses. As in, the pantheons actually existing instead of filling some void in belief of a higher cause or plan that some thing has?"

Pause.
"Would you ever have heard of Plato's Parable of the Cave?" he then asks. Just because this man would train with a ball does not mean he would be uneducated. Teja had been educated, for a man of his time and people, and he was training at arms every day, still.-
