Hel is far too large to fit into the bar now, but the rats remember the tall young woman who tipped so very well and information is passed along until, at the last, the even taller, not so young, woman by the lake is greeted with a pitcher of hot chocolate (with peppers), a Jaguar tooth, and a card.

Eventually she'll test the card. Eventually, when she's up to risking disappointment. For now she's just going to look at the precious items she spent so long thinking were gone.

"It would not be the place of the damned if there was any benefit to being there." Hel points out quietly.

"I guess you have a point there," Axel says. It doesn't really sound too different from the Underworld, really.

"Oh, yes." Hel says quietly.

She's not just ruler, she's an inmate.

"So why do you put up with it?" he asks, leaning back on his heels.

"Because I cannot get out." Hel says with a one-armed shrug, "I cannot climb the world-tree."

"You said you have friends here," he says. "Have you thought of asking them for help?"

"It is not good for the living to enter Niflheim. It hurts them, deep within." Hel says with a shake of her head, "No, I would not put them through that."

"...You have my sympathy," he says. "What little I have."

Hel nods, gracefully. "Thank you."
