It's been a while.
Okay, so it's been way more than a while, but the narration would go so far as to err on the side of diplomacy lest it be included in the general air of 'royal lazyasses' that seems to follow its charges around on a near-constant basis. It is not lazy - it is abused and mistreated.
"- should have seen your face when it started moving!"
"It was a tree. Trees don't move - there are roots involved - it's rather the point, Yvaine."
"So you talked to one, but they cannot move?"
"Yes, but that's an entirely -"
You see what it has to live with on a daily basis?
The couple that appears along with the bickering looks rather like they've been walking a great deal - vaguely dusty, slightly threadbare, and sun-darkened (well, one of them, at least) - but altogether rather pleased, if a little footsore.
"Oh," the star remarks, blinking once at the sudden change of scenery and grinning widely. "Civilization!"
Company would be welcomed. (As would dinner, more likely than not, but first thing's first.)
(OOC:Two for the price of one! It's sort of a discount ... only not at all. AND NOW - for bedtime!)

"Really, now?" he questions, glancing in her direction with a grin. "You never told me about that."

"They were being ridiculous," she replies. "I can hardly be blamed."

Will hides slightly behind his drink.

"If either you or Atton were blaming yourselves - or each other - for my being injured, then I'd say Yvaine was quite justified in her yelling," he says matter-of-factly.

"We are perfectly capable of getting ourselves into all sorts of trouble without it being anyone else's fault."

Will takes a drink and says quickly,
"An the fight was fun anyway."
no subject
"Well, if you're into that sort of thing, I suppose ..."
He pauses. "Yvaine does like arguing for the sake of it sometimes."

The blame-issue can be moved past. In that there isn't ever going to be a decision on it anyhow, so they might as well not bother.
"Just without all the physical damage."

"Alas, I'm the sort who wants to keep the peace as much as possible. I can't say I like 'sparring' all that much - no matter what form it comes in."
As for the 'finding one who fits you' bit - well, he simply smiles at that. He's found the exact fit for him, and she happens to be sitting right next to him, glittery and snarky.

"He just can't hold up his end of the arguments quite yet," she adds sweetly. "He'll catch on eventually, I imagine."
The star flashes a charming grin over at Tristran before returning her attention to Will.
"And I am glad to hear that your girl suits you so well. Is she from your when?"

He glances around him at that moment, as though he would really know what this Kate looks like.
Silly Tristran.

"What does she look like?"
Will seems far more comfortable talking about her than about himself at the moment - and Yvaine can be considerate upon occasion.

Even though she's not fully at the moment but she will be soon.
