It's been a while.
Okay, so it's been way more than a while, but the narration would go so far as to err on the side of diplomacy lest it be included in the general air of 'royal lazyasses' that seems to follow its charges around on a near-constant basis. It is not lazy - it is abused and mistreated.
"- should have seen your face when it started moving!"
"It was a tree. Trees don't move - there are roots involved - it's rather the point, Yvaine."
"So you talked to one, but they cannot move?"
"Yes, but that's an entirely -"
You see what it has to live with on a daily basis?
The couple that appears along with the bickering looks rather like they've been walking a great deal - vaguely dusty, slightly threadbare, and sun-darkened (well, one of them, at least) - but altogether rather pleased, if a little footsore.
"Oh," the star remarks, blinking once at the sudden change of scenery and grinning widely. "Civilization!"
Company would be welcomed. (As would dinner, more likely than not, but first thing's first.)
(OOC:Two for the price of one! It's sort of a discount ... only not at all. AND NOW - for bedtime!)

This is ... different.
"Wow," he says, eyebrows raising once he has composed himself. "It has certainly been a while."
no subject
It's ... unexpected?
Rather surprising?
Bound to have better dessert-options than almost anywhere at home?
"More than," she agrees, quickly snatching his fingers and tugging him further into the Bar proper. Option to turn around is vetoed. "Come on then - best find somewhere to sit down."

And his legs are currently exhausted. And he has grown a little tired of sleeping on rocks and hard grounds and things of that sort.
"Nothing has changed," he says as he glances around, while letting Yvaine pull him along.
no subject
Yvaine rather likes to pretend that she doesn't have legs when they walk for too long. (It doesn't work all that well, but she's fairly certain that she's stubborn enough that it eventually will.)
The booth, when they get there, is a very welcome thing.
"I hardly see why it should," she sighs pleasantly, slumping in an entirely unladylike manner. "Perfectly fine the way it is."

A waitrat comes around, and Tristran recalls their past experiences here. Oh, Milliways is definitely a welcomed surprise.
He begins to order a number of different things.

It isn't like she's particularly interested in the rest of it.
"The seasons have, I'm sure, if nothing else."
Especially given their length of absence. She definitely missed the snow and everything.
"Which is unfortunate," she adds, off of the train of thought. "Because I did enjoy the parts of winter that you weren't ill for, dear."
no subject
"It was fun, wasn't it?" he says with a grin as he recalls the memory. "Though that whole time was a bit confusing for me."
What with the whole Victoria thing.
no subject
Dryly, though the slight shift closer takes most of the sting out of it, "Because it was a joy for me as well."
no subject
"Perhaps we'll be around the next time winter comes to this place," he says, innocently ignoring Yvaine's dry tone of voice.
no subject
She arcs an eyebrow.
"Planning on going anywhere I should know about, Prince Charming?"

They can totally overcome the cosmos - all part of a day's work!
"Even if it is just for sleeping - because, really, there is only so much wilderness-survival I can take."
no subject
He nods, letting out an easy laugh. "You feel the same too, then? I was beginning to think you were enjoying the rocks and sticks underneath us when we slept on the ground."
There might be sarcasm in that. Maybe.

"Eve, ye two, come I'm tendin', what can I get ye?"
no subject
He waves in his direction.
"Hullo, Will," he says with a smile. "We haven't seen you in quite a long time."
no subject
Might as well, now that they're here.
A bright smile, "And I am certain that you can get him something - I will thank you kindly, but pass on the offer."
no subject
Will has a bit of stiffness in his movements that might be familiar to Tristran from when he was hurt.
no subject
He provides Will with the name of their local ale. "We haven't had anything particularly decent to eat for weeks," he admits. "So anything you've got, I'll take."
He lets Yvaine take a seat before following suit, then smiles. "How have you been?"
no subject
So she's full - in some incredibly odd, cosmic way.
She shifts, arranging her skirts neatly, "Yes, I hope that you're well. We've missed a lot."
no subject
"Aye, well 'nough. 'ave ye been followin' the road then?"
no subject
"We've been ..."
Exploring?
Righting wrongs?
Avoiding Stormhold castle?
Avoiding his mother?
He'll let Yvaine field this one.
no subject
It's actually rather amusing.
Will avoids the question by asking Tristran a question - which he, in turn, avoids. Men are interesting creatures.
"We've been wandering aimlessly," she replies, continuing seamlessly. "And you have not been fine."
no subject
"Just got a bit o'a 'urt but 'ealin' quick as I can. Still 'ave me Kate."

Interesting.
She'll leave that bit for when his cheeks have returned to a normal color.
The star just tilts her head, waiting for his answer.
