Guppy has positioned himself just outside the infirmary, eating his dinner rapidly. He's not prepared to leave Will alone longer than he has to.

He looks like he hasn't slept properly in several days.

"You don't perform surgery with them either. A small movement at the wrist makes a bigger movement with the blade. In surgery the movements are small."

"You might arm yourself with one of your tiny knives, then," Teja says, amused, "and stab the crazed Amberite when he least expects it."

[guppy_sandhu]

"So that he can teleport me to somewhere? I think I'd better leave the fighting to the pros."

"You stab him, he is distracted, I move in with my axe, and if I have time, I say, 'Sorry for all the blood'," Teja says.

[guppy_sandhu]

"Hm, I think that Atton might be a bit better at that part than me."

[ostro_goth]

"Well, if you happened to be close, and he was not?" Teja says, amused.

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy shrugs.

"I'd do what I have to do."

[ostro_goth]

"As would any man," Teja says. "Any."

[guppy_sandhu]

"My friends have been hurt enough."

[ostro_goth]

"Indeed," Teja says.

Enough to make even peaceable, modern Guppy warlike and serious.

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy is often serious, just not usually warlike.

"I should get back to Will." Guppy says, getting up. "Take care, don't do anything rash."

[ostro_goth]

"Not unless it is necessary," Teja says, half-turning around the promise that way.

[guppy_sandhu]

Guppy hesitates, but goes back to Will. Teja is dead, he's not likely to get deader.
