(no subject)

Hel is outside with her sewing. She's rather glad that the jungle is gone. It blocked a lot of her view of the grounds and something about it just wasn't right. Not really. She's hard to miss, being roughly the same scale Optimus Prime is when he's at home, and her hair glistens in the light all the way from her head to where the braids coil on the ground.

"Right around a month," Xigbar replies. "Spent most of it out here, smashed on Atlantean. That stuff is good."

"I remember it being so." Hel agrees, "It has been a long time since I was able to go in and order anything. Long and long indeed."

"Seriously? You mean, you can't do like the robot dudes, and compress in there?"

"I am not robotic." Hel says mildly, "And magic does not touch me. Only godkilling weapons do much of anything at all."

"Super lame. I mean, you can't do half the fun stuff here! Hey, you know, if you want I could try--" He makes a gesture that expresses shrinking without really shinking "--and bend your space around. You know?"

There is a long, long silence at that.

She's looking at him, straight on, but thinking of many other things. Eventually her left hand moves and draws runes in the air that crackle, "Bleßun." is the soft murmur that goes with it.

And he's not exactly what or how, but something seems different, like the many weights pressing on his mind are lifted, like the constant pull of the black beyond black is lighter.

"...Babe?"

"General blessing." Hel says softly, "I find my magics hurt less if I don't make them too terribly specific. So it is a general blessing."

"Oh."

Gods, in his experience, don't usually want any more to do with them than anyone else.

This is different.

"Thanks."

Hel takes the unwanted.

He counts enough for her.

"You are welcome. I do not know that I could handle being so small after so much time so large...I will think about it."

"Let me know babe," he replies. "Any time."

"I will." Hel agrees, "I am here as often as I can be."

"I'm mostly out here myself," Xigbar replies. "'Cause, y'know. Kinda sucks in there for me."

"I know." Hel agrees, "I find it soothing, but I am Hel."

"Hey, maybe you'll be able to go back in again soon."

"Maybe." her laugh is bright and clean, marred only by her slur, "It is something to think about, at least."

"Absolutely. So, like, what do you do for fun, babe?"

He's not going to assume that her sewing is a hobby.

"Oh..." Hel thinks about it for a moment, "Learn, mostly. Sometimes I forge weapons, but that's for Ragnarok. I...hmm."

Then she shakes her head, "Not much, to be honest. I don't like to drink alone, I can't do much with my body. I enjoy the sun."

"A babe like you should never have to drink alone," Xigbar replies.

Hel blinks at him and says, "I am Hel. When I was very small I could drink with the lítill Men who were my first friends, but even then...well even then it was rare. Men cannot stay pace with me."

As far being called babe...she assumes it's a manner of speech. And that he means nothing more by it than she does by calling him little.

"Betcha I could keep up," he replies.

"Do you, now?" she asks with amusement, "Do you really?"

"Yeah, I totally do."

Space and Nothing, and no biology to speak of.

"Then this round is mine." Hel says calmly, "And the next is yours. You will have to fetch the drinks, I cannot."

"Sure thing. Jussec, babe---"

He jots a quick note, and space warps around them. When things stop distorting, there's a Xigbar-sized glass, and a Hel-sized glass, both full of Atlantean.

It's good to be Space.
