Its been raining for the past week in Nottingham so Will beams with gratitude when he finds a door to the Bar.

After a few moments, he is stretched out on a couch with hot chocolate, soup and his cloak drying by the fire as he feels dry for the first time in days.

(OOC: Mun is here, but might disappear to go play with nieces and family so consider this open until it falls off the page.)

Guppy, who also appears to be sopping wet, sits down near Will to dry himself off.

"Hey Will."

"Day, Guppy, where'd ye get wet?"

"Jumped in the lake." Guppy says, a little vaguely as he dries his hair off. "You?"

"Why'd ye do that? Been rainin' for 'bout a week at 'ome."

"I was... I'm not a good swimmer, I was trying to conquer my fears." Guppy says, still quite vaguely, drying off a bandage on his right hand.

"And yes, it's been wet at home too."

"Oh aye, guess tis one way to learn."

Guppy nods, sitting down next to Will.

"I don't really know what I'm doing."

"Could ye get lessons from someone?"

Half a smile. "I meant the fears rather than the swimming, though that would probably help, I should do that."

He shrugs. "Just been doing a lot of thinking. Someone told me I should conquer my fears, that I should be ashamed of them, so that I don't screw up my kid."

"What are ye 'fraid o'when ye're swimmin'?"

"Drowning, mostly. I'm bad at swimming because when I learned at school the kids used to hold me under the water or try to pull my trunks down, so I never really learned properly."

"That's cruel, shame to 'ear that."

A (very, very) tall man walks over.

"Are yew Dr. Sandhu?" he asks. "Atton suggested I talk ter yew."

"Yeah, kind of a nuisance more than anything else, because now it's harder to find the time to learn."

He blinks and looks up at the newcomer.

"Um, yeah, that's me. Can I help you?"

Will keeps looking up and up and is soon sitting up and rather aware of where his sword is. For now he'll let Guppy talk and help if he's needed.

(OOC: You-Guppy-Will work?)

"I was thinkin' thet . . . wal, thet I might like tew shew yew some thin's. Cuz ef I were tew git hurt, an' no 'un knew, et might make thin's worse . . . yeah."

He fidgets, and it's suddenly obvious that he's really just a kid, despite his size.

(Now, sure.)

"You all right talking in front of Will? He's trustworthy." Guppy asks. He won't deny the kid his privacy, but being still pretty soggy he's not moving from the fire unnecessarily.

Plus he may be able to help translate the accent.

Will gives a nod and relaxes a bit,

"Guppy's a good soul an a fine physician."

Wilbur nods.

"I'm nawt sure ef et matters--I came here by dyin', dunno ef I kin be hurt. But I'm still physical, sew I probably kin."

He flushes. "Um . . . I don't suppose yew gawt a doctor's awffice, dew yeh?"

Guppy takes that as a no for talking about it in the bar in front of Will. Oh well, it's not like he's as wet as he was. He gets up.

"I'll be back if you're staying around Will, get a hot drink on me?"

Nodding to the tall guy. "This way. What's your name?"

"Wilbur Whateley."

(Sure, sure.)

Guppy comes back to Will when he's finished talking to Wilbur.

"Clearly I'm not putting my sign up often enough if people are having to seek me out when I'm soggy." he says with a small smile.

"And you say you're dead, but you're worried something will happen to you?"

He shows him through the infirmary into the office, and offers him a seat.

"Wish for somethin' warm to drink?"

"Wal, yew never know . . ."

Wilbur looks around the office, fascinated. He's never been to a doctor before.
