Its been raining for the past week in Nottingham so Will beams with gratitude when he finds a door to the Bar.

After a few moments, he is stretched out on a couch with hot chocolate, soup and his cloak drying by the fire as he feels dry for the first time in days.

(OOC: Mun is here, but might disappear to go play with nieces and family so consider this open until it falls off the page.)

Guppy comes back to Will when he's finished talking to Wilbur.

"Clearly I'm not putting my sign up often enough if people are having to seek me out when I'm soggy." he says with a small smile.

"Wish for somethin' warm to drink?"

"Yes, please."

Guppy hesitates, then asks.

"I think you were busy, but did you see me talking to Teja at Life Support?"

"Aye, I did."

"Did you see me, um, get upset and walk off?"

Guppy gets a tea from a waitrat, and sips it.

"Nay, I didna, what 'appened?"

"He... he was the one that told me I should be ashamed of being scared of stuff. He practically called me a coward. I... I couldn't stop thinking about it, you know what I mean? And... I realised I needed to get a second opinion rather than continue letting it get out of proportion."

Will sits up straighter and is quiet as he thinks about that,

"'is time is more like mine an 'e sees things as a Lord would. Most power comes from who can ye defeat, but tis naught with bein' 'fraid. If ye're na 'fraid, ye're reckless an make foolish choices cause ye think ye can take on anythin'."

Guppy nods. He wishes he'd sought someone out to talk about this rather than getting worked up on it for four days.

"I know... I started feeling I had to prove something, so when one of my patients got in danger I dived in and nearly got blown up. And then I sort of felt that it didn't matter if I was a coward most of the time if I could do stuff when it matters, but I kept thinking maybe everyone else thought I was a coward as well... overthinking, I guess."

"Ye're na a coward, Guppy."

"Thanks." Guppy says quietly.

"Being ashamed of myself... doesn't help. It just makes me worse. Makes me do daft stuff..." he holds the bandaged hand up.

"Ye 'ave naught to be ashamed o'."

"Teja seemed to think shame would be motivation to improve. I think it just shoves me into despair."

"Times are different is all."

Guppy nods.

"Thanks. I should have talked to you earlier."

"Forgive me for na bein' 'ere when ye needed me."

"It's certainly not your fault." Guppy says. "You've got better things to do than look out for me being silly."

"Its na that either, bein' called a coward is a 'ard thing but ye're na one."

"To give Teja credit, he didn't say it outright, and he was just trying to help. I guess it just struck a nerve because it's hard to not feel like a coward when I know that fear affects a lot of what I do. I wanted to talk to Frogs but I was worried she'd be worried."

"Should talk to 'er, she's yer wife, means sharin' all that stuff e'en if seems silly."

"I will. She's going to want to know what happened to my thumb anyway."

"Aye an ye'll feel better too."

Guppy nods.

"I think she'll understand. She knows I've been more panicky this week anyway."

"An she'll wish to aid ye."

Guppy nods.

"And not just because she infested the living room with fleas and I had to clean up."
