[OOM: You know when making friends easily is helpful?

When you're planning a daring escape.

"Okay, Dogmeat," says Ellen as she and the Blue Heeler duck in from out back. "You look like you're all better now, so I think it's time we paid our bill. Dad's not getting any closer, you know."

Dogmeat whurfs.

"Good boy," says Ellen, and heads for the Bar. She's got a tab, even if it is a small one, and she'd rather not have that hanging over her head as she enters the Wasteland again.

[OOC: Open until it scrolls off the page. This will be Ellen's last in-bar post for a bit; she's about to go through some of her canon's DLC.]

[OOM - Cerulean Sins Plot:
Anita goes on a zombie raising, but the raising is crashed by Asher as he informs her that Musette has arrived early. She returns to the Circus where Jean-Claude, Asher, Damian, and she greet Musette, which ends badly for poor Asher. After the disasterous confrontation with Musette, Jean-Claude and Anita talk and decide to bring Asher to their bed. This, however, ends a little unpleasantly for Anita, and Jason comes to her rescue.

After a few hours of sleep in Jason's bed, Anita is called to two murder scenes, and she's forced to bring Jason along so she doesn't pass out at the wheel. She passes out at the crime scene instead. After passing out, Anita wakes up in a bathtub with Micah, and they discover just what's been draining Anita all day.

On the way to the Circus, Anita is psychically attacked by Belle Morte, and Richard aids Anita in fighting her back, though he wakes the ardeur in the process. Anita rushes to Jean-Claude in order to sate the ardeur, and she winds up having a hurtful arugment with both Jean-Claude and Asher. Anita confronts the men who had been following her and deals with the Feds over who the stalkers are. Then, she receives a call from Jean-Claude informing her that Dolph has picked Jason up for questioning, and she sets off to retrieve him.

Returning from the police station, Anita, Jean-Claude, and Asher talk, and Asher is offered an apology. Everyone converges for the banquet that night with Musette and her people, and it goes about as well as one can expect.

That night, Asher returns to his room to find an irate Nathaniel, and the second mark is give by the vampire to the wereleopard.

The following day, Jean-Claude and Asher talk about Nathaniel, about betrayal, and about love.

Finally, Anita goes to locate the serial killer, having to ask Richard for the use of some of their wolves.

A few days later, Anita, Richard, and Jean-Claude wrap up the plot with a meeting at the Lunatic Café to discuss Richard's behavior at the banquet and the future.

See backroom post for additional information, threads containing sex are highlighted in red, and, of course, there are spoiler warnings for Cerulean Sins.]

Meg, today, has apple cider and gingerbread, and is making what she hopes will be a final review of the rules she has drawn up for the Milliways baseball game.

Her usual books are at hand, but they're of limited help in this particular project, which is far more about flying than fly balls.

[OOC: Ray has a few words with Walter Peck. They are not words that make him happy.]

Ray thumps the door to Milliways open and heads straight up to the Bar. "Any chance I can get a Third Rail and a sandwich or something?" he says. "It's almost lunchtime and I really need a drink. We're looking at an incipient haunting on a scale I don't even want to think about..."

Sameth just wanted to get some dinner and do some reading when he's given a note and a book. At first he tries to protest but is reminded that it will be good for him to meet people.

So with a sigh he starts looking through the drink book which is actually a lot of fun. He had no idea there were so many mixed drinks since usually getting some whiskey into Somersby was a big enough deal on its own.

Specials

Blue Blazer
Mage's Fire
Presticles, Spectacles, Wallet and Watch
If you've ever played cricket or know what it is, half off your drink.

Then he settles down and finds himself smiling but wishing Nick was here, he'd enjoy this.

Claire is in the bar.

Does anyone have anything to tell her?

Someone has been brooding up in his room. He's decided tonight he'll come out and join the real world. Or the bar. Mostly just to see if the door is back.

Missing door has been the main reason He has not come down. He sees no reason to come down only to not be able to get out. But he's now tired of his own company settling in to a booth he wold really enjoy someone else company.

Teja is outside, by the entrance to the forge, constructing large things from wire mesh fencing and iron poles, using wrenches and bolt-cutters and soldering irons. He is humming under his breath, one song almost imperceptibly seguing into the next. At the moment, it is 'Scarborough Fair', but that may change soon.

Not at all what one would expect from a dead Ostrogoth king. The cats seem to think so as well, sitting on the window sill and watching their human with great distrust.

[OOC: Eco-friendly recycled post.]

Castiel has arranged his table very carefully. The sign-up sheet is front and center, with three ballpoints lined up to the side. His own pen (the tiny Mounties floating lazily along the Rockies) and red notebook are within easy reach; he wants to be able to jot down questions to pass on to Meg.

And he has a sign. Bold black marker on neon blue poster board. Castiel has never heard the adage, Brevity is the soul of signage. And he had quietly delighted in writing something of his own composition.
Baseball Team Sign-Ups

Sixteen to twenty people or beings are needed to play a game of baseball.

Players who sign up will be divided into two teams by the casting of lots. Lists will be posted.

The game is for fun. You do not need to know how to play. Rules will be provided.

He'd enjoyed the sign making so much that he had made three extras. Sanskrit on hot pink. Russian on bright yellow. And Mandarin on fluorescent green. All four are taped to the edge of the table.

Castiel waits. Expectantly.

Guppy is crouched down next to the gap between two booths, trying to convince his baby son to come out of there before he starts eating that grubby biscuit half on the floor.

He's just out of reach, from both ends. Guppy has tried coaxing him out, and is now trying to tempt him out with a rusk.

"If you want to hide we can play that at home, I'm just worried you'll get stuck in there." he says, peering in. "Doesn't look very comfortable."

Alex considers the rusk, but instead carries on playing with the spring in the back of one of the chairs (It goes boing when he pulls it that way, this is fun!).

A few minutes after Elle settled at the bar with another one of Bela's books, a tall glass of what looked to be cherry slushy with an even taller, bright blue twisty straw appeared next to her.

Some things are always appealing. Even if they require her to contort oddly, with her head tilted heavily to the left, while she sips from the drink as she flips her way through the book.

[OOM: Richard and Anita start an argument.]

Richard is still looking over his shoulder at Anita as he stalks into the bar. He's angry enough that he doesn't even realize where he his for half a moment. Only half a moment though because the scents are an easy give away.

"Well no, eventually he has to end up at the bottom of the list too," he snarls.

[ooc: plot-locked, sorry.]

Pam isn't really showing signs of Baby Halpert as she opens the door to Milliways now, but there's a look on her face that pretty much says it all: she'd really been hoping this was the bathroom.

Bar provides her a speedy exit, though, as she makes a mad dash to partake in one of her least favorite symptoms of pregnancy so far: morning sickness.

Fifteen minutes later, she reappears, minty-fresh breath and all, and heads toward one of the couches to rest her slightly swollen feet.

Soul's goddamn sore and the whole of Death City is wrecked. The Big Bad Villain is gone, thanks to Maka. He somehow didn't die, though he thought he would. It's a few days after the whole thing and he's all bandaged up, cracked ribs aching, concussion bothering him just because it wants to, and a couple bandages to be found on his face.

He'd given up on the scavenging and rebuilding attempts for the day, and had tried to wander to where his temporary cot was, take some painkillers and zone out while thinking about happy pink elephants. But, uh, guess what? Soul's not getting that wish! Instead of the doorway leading to sleep, instead it leads to some weirdass bar.

He doesn't question anything, he doesn't yell, he doesn't get scared and he doesn't bother a stranger. Maka had babbled theories about something like this once, and apparently she was right - god, he hates it when she's right. But uh, if he's at the end of the universe - does that mean he's going to see unhappy pink elephants instead?

No dying! No dying for Soul. He looks very distressed, and finds a chair to sit on, mostly because it's there.
